I think that these changes are good. Say What!

IKR. I must be the only one?

Now look, I've made a few other comments about some mistakes I think Riot has made, mainly the increase in snowball potential, but I think that these changes did a lot of good:

ADCs now feel much more diverse and impactful. They are each their own champion, isntead of being a ball of stats that could right click better than other archetypes.

New mastery system also makes this aspect of the game more impactful. Gone (mostly) are the mirco stat boosts and unimpressive %s. Now he have bigger numbers, eiaser to see differences, and an overall more important system. I will throw one. Tiny thing. Out there: Ashe + Warlord's. 18% LS at the start of the game FTW

Edit: When I say "more impactful" about the mastery changes, it may be mroe accurate to say "appears more impactful". For instance, compare new feast to old feast. Old feast gave minute amounts of health per unit killed. It wasn't something that you noticed. But 20 health restored is noticeable, at least early game/laning phase. Even so these masteries give similar amounts of health. And Keystone masteries are definitely noticeable. 8% damage reduction? 15% life steal on crits? 10% stronger heals and shields? These are very, very noticeable

Then we look at the jungle changes, namely items and the new creep. I think that item 1039 needs buffs, because it doesn't provide enough early clearing aid (in terms f damage) to AP junglers. item 1041 is now nearly useless on AP and tank, so item 1039 is really all they have.. I think that Rift Herald is a perfect mob to put up top lane, it gives junglers a reason to leave their bot lane tent and go help out the (other?) tank line for a change.

The new starting items in general I think are good. At first I think that doran's will be purchased predominantly, especially in solo-Q because they are the familiar, but I hope that the new additions will come into their own (Cull on Ashe because she already starts with 15% LS regardless? Yes please!)

The new support items are a fantastic addition. I see nearly no reason to not buy them, that way I save the extra item slot for what I need: tank stats!

As for new ADC items, they share me thoughts on ADCs themselves: more impact, more uniqueness, more diversity.item 3812 in partifcular seems a little broken, especially on ability reliant ADCs (like Graves or Lucian since it also gives them spell-vamp for their nukes as well as AAs

I think that about wraps up the patch. Well, I'm off to write a post about the difference between Broken, Overpowered, and Overtuned

I too like the new changes overall more than I dislike them

I like the direction the game has moved to be more fast-paced. I think it was overdone however, I think that the towers could be tankier than they are...

I'm really enjoying the new mastery system. the choices you make in picking them are more real. it makes it tougher for people who are new however, as it's pretty easy to get trapped by the wrong masteries. I'm not sure if that is too bad a thing... since if you know your champ, you're much more likely to find something that works. even if it is typically a trap, you'd understand how to use it effectively.

Oh Ashe, her bonus damage is no longer crits, it's just bonus damage. so it's not an OP mastery for her I mean um, not any extra OP than usual. Now, her crits are "crit slows" lol kinda cool actually.

It's good, but not when games are either snowball, or get snowball'd.

And that alone already makes a lot of people not want to play at all anymore.

they had it mostly right for season 2 in how long games should be.

I just don't get why they can't reflect on what was good past seasons more and try to apply it back into the game.

These faster pace games might seem nice but they do in turn buff and nerf a lot of champs in doing so which flips balance on it's head.

I would probably say that the changes are 70% good.

What I really hate about the whiners with the whole Snowballing thing is that they keep attacking Riot about the symptoms with out thinking about the root cause. (I don't know the cause, but I bet Riot does.) Riot encouraged some Snow ball mechanics, for the sake of being able to close out games. (and games were pretty long before.) But the snowballing is happening too quickly.

I would argue that half of the cases are people still not knowing how to play in this patch. That would even out a little once people figure out the right masteries and item paths. But that's not the whole story. I would suspect that the main culperates would be a) the reduced vision, due to the trinket changes and the removal of green wards. and b) the reduced turret health.

I find the Hunter's talisman to be a little under rated. Even though it's 20 health steal over 5 seconds, it's applied to all monsters effected. against 3 monsters on average. You would be getting 60 heath steal over 5 seconds. or 12 each second. Machete might exceed that in damage when built for it. (i.e. High AS) But the health sustain would be in Talisman's favor.

You do realize that, aside from your keystone, most of the mastery tree costs more points for comparable or less gains, in addition to being a smaller variety the majority of masteries that existed during season 5 have been nerfed by this patch about the only ones i would say were flat out buffs were Runic Affinity, Bandit, and Perseverance

They ruined the mastery systems: people do not see it but many masteries are now WEAKER, you spend more points for less bonuses, the AP champs have almost no chioces and the AD keystones are just broken: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/EK9y2Eg7-cherys-s6-mastery-review

Also the games are too short, at this pace we are going to see surrenders at minute 10. There was nothing better than winning a hard 40-60 minutes game, it made the battles EPIC.

The jungle is now too difficult for many champions, the potions do not help neither.

The removal of mana potions was unnecesary.

They just made balanced champions OP with these reworks... I wont talk about Kog, Yasuo, Graves, Tryn, Riven, etc

They ruined Quinn, the way they changed her felt like a total disrespect to me, I bought her Phoenix Skin, I played her for more than 100 games past season, I really liked her kit, she needed a few changes and now they made Valor a taxi cab, they made her blind useless and took out all her identity to make her appealing for "new players" for like 2 months before they realize she is now worse than before. It is a total disrespect, if they had asked regular Quinn players what she truly needed the rework would have been different, but now we have this... "we wanted to make her a legit ADC but now she does not work good like an ADC and she kinda sucks as a midlaner"..

OP RIOT GG, thats what I see on every game.
