Dear Junglers,

I don't know how I can thank you enough when you are on top of things in the jungle, prioritizing which lane to gank (even if it isn't mine, I understand and can handle myself) and jungle objectives, and communicating before ganks. That doesn't even mean giving up jungle buffs (thou I main support and wouldn't get them anyway lmao)

Everytime I play a game of league, whichever team has the better jungler wins. <- This has been true for 9 out of the last 10 games I've played.

So, thank you for ganking, it makes all-ins so much easier (Stand behind me, jungler, I will keep you safe :3). Every time you guys come down bot lane to make sure my ADC does well, you not only get a sense of how my whole game is, but I hope you also understand that those actions play the largest role in deciding a game, more than anything else any other role can do. Ultimatly, it is your performance that decides whether we can win, and how easy it will be to do so. Because whichever team is up 3 dragons when teamfighting begins, will win the teamfight

Sincerely, a support

Edit: out of curiosity, do you guys (junglers) give the kill(s) to the laner(s), or take them yourselves?

As someone who plays mostly jungle, I highly disagree. The team with better laners wins. Once you know what you ought to be doing as a jungler, like 80% of your success or failure hinges on your laners. Great junglers look terrible when their lanes get destroyed so hard 1v1 that they can't even be ganked for, or when the laners fuck up every gank attempt you make, which happens alot. Jungling is all about being in the right place at the right time, but the laners are the ones who set up the place; the jungler just needs to recognize opportunities and show up. But sometimes there aren't any or the windows are just too small, and the jungler looks terrible.

FINALLY! Somebody who sees how important a jungler is! A jungler changes a game. He turns a lane from losing to winning in a single gank. My fuck I stopped maining jungle because nobody sees this and just sees the jungler as their little peasant like they do the support. "COME GANK MY LANE ASS HOLE YOUR LIKE LVL 2 BUT WHATEVS IM LOSING GIB GANK OR FEED" just pls fucking please

im a jg main and i feel like a good jungler can give a good gank, if he is there at the right moment sure youl be able to see whos gonne make mistakes ( a bit ) and be there

how ever a good laner will play so that the jungler will be able to do a GREAT gank

ive had a friend playing talon 9/10 ganks i gave him ended up in kills i didnt do much different than i usualy do he played passively setting up his lane so that we could make the kill

ive also had a game where al 3 of my lanes are pushing early game now i am no pro jungler but i know how the jungle works and the score is still 0 - 0 people are between level 3 and 4 and i can already tell we are going to lose and there is nothing i can do about it

if your a laner who plays save and respects the enemy jungler i am a 100% sure you can have an even bigger impact on the game how ever in low elo games as a jungler you have the advantage of camping the overextending not warding idiot get fed on him and spread the love

also keep in mind annyone can gank ive had quite a few games where i played suport annie and made a kil with my q w tibbers by roaming mid lane

Dear laners,

I recommend you play jungle role for about a week. Yes there is a learning curve, yes you might lose while learning the role (that is what norms are for anyway), but as someone who has recently changed from a laner main to a jungle main I now understand how to best utilize a gank from a jungler. I can see what they are planning on doing. I promise your synergy with your jungler will increase ten fold if you learn to play the role. I also teaches you the importance of helping your jungler keep your/their jungles warded.

Sincerely,

My favorite roles are Jun and Top. Currently maining Nocturne.

When I play top lane I LOVE being pushed under turret. It sets up ganks and provides extra protection. Even if I'm winning lane I try to keep the wave at my turret.

As a Jungler there is nothing more frustrating than when every one of your lanes are losing but they stay pushed through the whole laning phase.

I hardly ever get ganks when i am support, i wonder how that is like.

As a support main I thank my jungler who ganks for me by helping him gank mid and making sure bot is warded for my adc to make him safe to farm (if he gets ahead and knows how to do it he can farm safely without worry of being engaged on ) and with that said

Let's take down mid turret and open up the enemy jungle for you to farm in with wards from me, mid and the jungler we will always know where to enemy jungler is, being able to stomp him and prevent his ganks on other lanes

Drunk Rummate6/18/2015, 7:12:18 PM1 votes

Junglers are useful yeah, good ones can turn close games.

But I find most games aren't that close because the team with the worst player generally loses, regardless of which role that player is in, and mostly because they generally feed several kills in lane phase and/or don't understand wave control and grouping for the mid/late game.

Winning 4v5 is hard even when your jungler gets everyone ahead.

Every lane assumes they're getting camped after they get ganked a couple of times because they aren't experiencing ganks happening some place else. Junglers can't just match gank per gank because a gank that wont' succeed because the laner is too low/too behind/too shoved is not worth it, the jungler is better off farming. Junglers need lanes to create opportunities for ganking, otherwise they're better off just farming, regardless of what the other jungler is doing. Junglers that try to gank lanes that aren't creating opportunities just end up feeding too.

At the end of the day if you're in a lane you should assume you'll be ganked and be ready for it, and you should consciously create opportunities for your jungler to gank and communicate as much. If their jungler kills you in a gank that's YOUR fault, or at least that's how you should think of it because you can only control yourself. How could you have avoided that gank? Ganks aren't really 2v1's or 3v2's because unless you're very ahead you have no reason to fight it, you just need to get away alive. And there are a lot of ways of making sure that's likely. That's your job. Unless your jungler comes in and feeds your lane by being stupid, you should never blame your jungler for losing lane. That's not how you get good and move up. You should create gank opportunities when you can but assume you'll be getting no help. Other lanes might need it more, your jungler might be behind because he got invaded, whatever the reason, you should handle your lane assuming you will get zero help and that you will be ganked, and figure out ways to get ahead anyways. If you do get help, that's just a bonus.

In my experience once you change your attitude to this thinking when laning, you not only get better at the game but you also get a lot less salty.

I don't like junglers. That's why I play jungle. I don't trust any of those hoes. I don't play jungle to win, I PLAY IT TO MAKE SURE EVERY LANE IS HAVING FUN. I don't like those junglers who are like, yeah my top is probably crying because there is like no way to stop a lane bully when they're ahead, but what ever ganking bot is better, well that's what my god Night Blue 4 told me. Anyways, back to flaming my top laner because rumble just stole drag with his ult, bye guyz!

A lot junglers posted that they feel that it is laners that decide the games, and I find that interesting. The way I feel, is that dragon is hands down the most important objective outside of the inhibitor (not counting nexus), and because it is so potent after 2-3 buffs, junglers become the most important role. Junglers have the largest control over dragon (smite and scuttle), meaning they ultimatly have the largest control over the game. Anyway, that's my logic, elaborated for you

Edit: also, a lot of talk about ganking top lane. When I was introduced to the roles a while back, I was told top lane is the island, there's no one there to help you, and you need to win so the team can get baron later. So in my opinion, 1-2 ganks to top is the max, and when I play top, that's about all I get

MarkedOfKane6/25/2015, 4:05:15 AM1 votes

"Do you give kills or take them?"

That decides on the champion. If I play Volibear or Naut, I try to give them as they would go to better use in the hands of someone who could carry or come in stronger late, etc. If I am someone like Nocturne or Lee, I will take not try to give the kill to the laner. Sometimes though, even as Voli or Naut, you have to get the kill because your laner might die or the enemy could still escape.

As a top laner, fuck you junglers.

Seriously, our lane is decided 90% on whoever jungler is the best. Like, why can't I have more impact in my own lane, let alone the game...

A good jungler and good support are really an awesome thing in team, and I would go as far as saying that in my experience those roles are most influential in game. Thanks a lot! ^^
