Buffing Renketon Complaining to meddler hoping for some clarity on the renekton buffs

So I saw some stuff on buffing renekton and I have one big question. Why not increase Renekton's aa range? Considering that he has this giant bladed two handed weapon it seems odd that his weapon has less range than someon like Fizz or yas. Could we just increase the range to 200, at least when he ults? If nothing else im currious to know why he needs the buffs he is getting.
