Hypothetical Silvers vs Golds
I've never reached Gold (got to the promos once); but I am a very experienced battle-ready Silver player. I have a very small pool of champions that I practice on a regular basis and know very well. Lets say I get to recruit a bunch of current season Silvers to form a team of 5 ("Team Silver") and I get to play Mid lane.
We're going to play up to 11 games against a team of randomly selected Gold players, each of who mains one of the 5 lanes ("Team Gold").
Team Silver and Team Gold each get 2 full days of preparation (in Norms) followed by 1 day of no League playing. The players will know who they are facing and can research each other's match history and stats.
In the actual tournament itself... there will be Voice Chat amongst the team members. It is agreed upon that
and
will NOT be banned, so I can pick. Team Gold will also request that 2 champs will NOT be banned to balance out this condition.
Whoever wins 6 games first wins the tournament.
The winning team gets a prize of X million dollars (a large amount), the losing team DIES (imagine the pressure).
Who is going to win this?
Does Team Silver even have a chance against the Gold Cloaks? Or will the doctrine of Elo Superiority prevail?
