What is it about plat?

Just hit plat for the second season in a row. Boom first game Lissandra mid goes 0/5/1 and has no assists, kills, or damage done by 30 minutes into the game. Literal 4v5 because he was too butt hurt to play the game.

Second game. 1/10/1 shaco. Feeds like crazy and refuses to play after. Lets enemy rengar kill him again and again.

Why? Why is this always plat? Why is this always plat every god damn season? You'd think plat and gold would be a continuum. No. It isn't. The moment you hit plat you are in the actual elo hell. It is such a miserable fucking rank.

Does anyone else have this issue?
