We could really use a second AP/armor item

I'm tired of being steamrolled by AD teams where the only thing I can build is since got nerfed to oblivion (thanks for that by the way). Can we please make a new anti-AD assassin mage item? It would be great since AD champions can efficiently build all of to counter mages. A 5 armor buff to might also not be too unreasonable.

Astral Scimitar (inspired by item 3139 )

Cost: 3000 gold

Build path: item 3191 + item 3113 + item 1027 + 700 gold

65 AP 55 Armor 5% Movement Speed

UNIQUE Passive: Block 5% of incoming physical damage and regenerate it as mana.

Thoughts? I added the small mana portion because most mages go oom really easily if they rush zhonyas, so this is a good alernative. Also, the small ms boost, i dont really have an explanation, i just kinda felt like it belonged on the item. Maybe its a stupid idea idk.

Like Zhonya's been kinda garbage since the AP got nixed and if CDR means all of the Zed/Talon/ADC shit will be up faster than Zhonya's will be.

Also don't wanna get into how Seekers rush vs Hexdrinker rush is currently a joke- A lot of AP champs have to get seekers either before/after lost chapter to survive and then get put behind forever, meanwhile Hexdrinker means Zed/Yasuo/Talon/whoever will win every all in or trade unless they fuck up.

Like it's pretty shitty for mages vs. 5 AD because you can build Tabis/Zhonya which already sets you back but it won't do shit after a certain point, but AD champs 100% are golden if they get Maw/Mercurial + Merc treads because those stats aren't totally wasted.

I don't get it- like I get zhonya's active is decent but at this point it doesn't do shit but delay the inevitable in a lot of cases and the stats are so garbage that you almost don't wanna buy it.

Buffing zhonya's + a decent AP + Armor item would make things better.

5 Armor? HA! [sg-miss-fortune] Zed and other assassins will just as easily melt through that. fr though i agree with another armor/ap item. now adays i just take RoA bc health is more useful than armor.

If it's an AP item that grants low AP and high armor i'm all for it. Kinda tired of mages bursting me 100 to 0 as a 300 MR tank.

Zhonyas only delays death, I want something to actually protect me from Zeds missing all their skillshots but still dying to their ult/auto/electrocute

I know it doesnt give any AP but item 3742 works just fine on many kite mages, since you dont autoattack at all the move speed is permanent. Its not great but it keeps you alive.
