Umm any ap midlaner can do that much damage with that build so what's your point?
He has 3 items and boots(and a 800 gold ap wand) 14/3 fizz has 3 items and boots, and did more damage Nasus has 3 items and boots. 2 of 3 items and boots add nothing to damage(except 10% cdr and some return damage), yet he did even more damage. I don't see the problem here. Also slows help him land his Q and add more time for his bugs to attack, so its not that much worse than sorcery Also he is a support, their botlane probably had quite a lot of earlygame action Also he has %hp damage on his ult, so if he ulted you(fat tank) or someone nearby, it will boost his total damage significantly
Kiting build control mage does 3rd highest damage against 3 melee champions. I'm surprised he didn't do more damage honestly.
