Mordikaisers ult coded as crowed control?

Ok so I had a player on my team have this happen and it happened to my wife three times in the same match, both if them had been playing Morse and within maybe 0.5 seconds of ulting someone they were back in the non ult realm of the map, this got me thinking why would mordes ult be coded as basic crowd control and not a supression, being able to cleanse and use was active basically defeats the entire purpose of his ult and since the active can't effect enemy champions why was it coded to just break the ult instead of leaving morde trapped if the whole crowd control code was intentional?

Thoughts and opinions and maybe a red could toss in their two cents.

Yes his ultimate is crowd control, for good reason. Being able to cleanse or QSS it is its biggest counterplay.

Don't think you can cleanse morde ult, but maybe they changed that. Rengar, gp and qss are all ways to leave morde ult but that's pretty limited. I've been playing morde and it's pretty rare for anyone to leave my ult especially since the only 1 building qss was typically the adc.

It's stupid, but it is classified as a suppression despite not doing anything suppression does.

I think it would be healthier for Morde overall to make his ult uncleanse-able, but make it actually possible to win the 1v1 in the Death Realm and/or increase the cooldown. Letting people negate your ult entirely with just a QSS doesn't feel good. There's a reason this interaction was removed for Zed and his ult.

I'd feel worse if it wasn't a point and click
