When your champ gets banned and your teams reason is....

ok so pick intent works lovely... until your own team bans the champ you picked and their reason for doing so is because players of that champ are feeders. now logic dictates not all players are the same with every champ. but hey that's just me, I understand new champ bans are high as well however regardless of the champs release date and weither others think a champion is garbage or not that doesn't excuse the reasoning that everyone playing that champ will feed or be a troll. Opinions in the boxes below, id like to hear others thoughts on this matter because honestly I'm not mad just shocked that people find that a legitimate reason for denying someone the right to play a champion even though they have done nothing to any player involved aside from picking their intent

I had a game earlier today where a guy did that. Argued Jhin players are bad and he didn't want me to be bad on him.

Although I guess it was for the best since I picked another champ and got asked by the enemy team if I was scripting.

That reasoning though is dumb. You always ban things that can solo carry based on whatever the champion does.

It really depends on the circumstances. If it's a normal and everyone is just there to have fun, you can play any champion in any role. I won't care... but if we're in a serious (/ranked) game, or you've got a bad attitude about it (ergo "I'm a god with <enter champion name>." "Uh, I'm going <enter champion name>. Deal with it." etc) you aren't going to get that champion. If it's off-meta: I don't care if it works. I don't care if you can successfully pull it off. Nothing you could ever say will change my mind. If it's a ranked game, I don't want you playing AP Tryndamere jungle. If it's a new champion: No, you do not know how to play that champion, I know that for a fact. Let's say you do. You still have not had near the amount of time needed to become sufficiently good at that champion... and placed against someone who may potentially main their pick, you will not succeed.

Yeah, that and flat out ignorance; it's incredible just how unobservant people can be.

gonna have to accept that jhin is going to be banned in ranked for the first few weeks

rightly so; i have no reason to trust that you'll do well with a brand new champion

If your champ was Jhin then no you were wrong

I wouldn't ban him, I'd just dodge. Anyone wanting to play Jhin in ranked right now is not playing to win, so wasting a ban is a waste of time when they're going to be playing suboptimally anyway. Any victories I've seen him get are due to absolute teamwide roflstomps so harsh that he could have just as easily afk'd for the same result.

Wait for the inevitable ridiculous overbuff (and/or for people to learn how to play him hahahahahahahaha like this would ever happen).
