Can we have a simple champion again?

I appreciate the effort you put into the new champion, but his kit is so overloaded and he will be a HUGE problem to balance. You'll probably just gut him until he can be reworked. Just look at the newest champions, they all try way too hard to be unique and end up being ridiculous complicated and extremely hard to know what their counterplay is.. The last 'simple' champions we had were Taliyah, Aurelion Sol and Jhin, they were unique and not too complicated. I'm really not looking forward to the new champion, he reminds me too much of Yasuo & Fiora , overloaded and incredibly frustating to face.

All I want is a simple champion, is that too much to ask?

Kayn's kit is so simple. You just think it's complicated because of his transformation, which only changes small things about the abilities.

His Q is a dash attack

His W is a Sion Q

His E is a Bard E

His ult is an execute/engage tool.

What's so complicated?

His kit isn't that much overloaded...?

I was literally just thinking this. Kindred was a good concept, then Kled came along and I thought okay...move on to releasing two champions at once with Xayah and Rakan and now...this guy, two different forms depending on if you're killing melee or ranged, and a base form, what the fuck? The new champions are becoming increasingly complicated, not to mention this guy can literally walk through impassable terrain. I would rather have simple unique champions who have interactions and some shared lore with other champions.

Simple champions are boring and uninteresting for a lot of people Flashier champions will garner more general popularity while also requiring more skill put into them, making for a more rewarding a feelgood experience for learning them

"Simple" champions are also pretty hard to balance because they tend to be binary and often not worth picking over more complex champions in their same subgroup of champion types in the event they're not strong/overpowered

Simple champions will not sell this game as well to a new player as a hypermobile flash one that looks really cool, Riot is a business and "simple" champions are simply not good enough to push this game forward

Also Xayah is an incredibly simple champion we got very recently

his kit is fairly straightforward if we're being honest

the transformations are just a big gimmick. i'm not really that drawn to it at all and I would have preferred just being a Darkin, or just being the base form

I don't understand what's overloaded about this one, actually.

  • Single passive, based on transformation that looks pretty typical
  • Simple dash with damage on Q. ezpz
  • Cookie cutter skillshot on W; even after transform it's easy to understand
  • unique E, but VERY simple. it's Talon E, but slightly more versatile
  • R is pretty easy, too. a less complicated Zed ult

Neither of the other two champions that you listed could be explained so simply. What, exactly, do you think is overloaded about his kit?

I find it funny you mention Jhin. His passive is longer than some champion's entire kits.

Rakan

Passive: Sometimes, he has a shield. Sometimes he doesn't. Q: He throws a thing. If that thing hits you, he heals. W: He dashes, then knocks up around himself. E: He dashes to an ally and gives a shield, then he does it again. R: He moves quick, charming people he collides with.

Wasn't the last simple one tahm? Too bad he got nerfed out of everything but support.

How the fuck is Fiora overloaded tho... She specializes at one thing, and all her tools are for that one thing. When fighting her you can basically forget her E even exists and just tell yourself she does good damage. The only things you need to think about are your ability to disengage, her W, and Vitals.

Sure she might have a little of stuff, but it's honestly not all that complicated. 90 percent of it all has the same function - dueling.

MrHaZeYo6/27/2017, 8:37:17 PM2 votes

I don't think his kit is that bad, it just seems that way through the transformations.

I think riot should release 5 new 450 ip champs at the same time, one for each lane. Simple champs that teach an aspect of the game or the lane.

NAME ALL THE SIMPLE CHAMPIONS

so we know what you're basing this on. How is his kit so difficult to understand? Name a simple kit, please.

Jhin was overloaded and a huge problem to balance.

Taliyah and ASol were not, but were also difficult to balance in different ways.
