@Riot Changing surrender time to 15 mins

They should change the surrender time to 15 mins instead of 20 mins. This would help waste less time in not only 4v5 but also when one team gets facerolled hard. I mean I can't tell you how many times people have typed "open mid" or "push down mid" in all chat when the game pretty much over. I think this is a good indicator that waiting 20 mins to surrender is to long, besides 15 mins is more then enough time to judge if a game is over or not.

I think this would make the game less toxic by allowing people to just move on to the next game, instead of blaming each other and rage quitting. I mean sometimes you just don't have any synergy with your teammates and its better to end it sooner then later.

PS: If possible I would really like to hear Riots opinion on this matter. If there is a specific reason its 20 mins and if they would be willing to ever change it.

Yeah, I had a game today where they literally killed our Nexus at 18 mins. Really would've liked to surrender earlier than that.

Well, they've re-iterated this many times. They WANT people to play this game. Nobody in NA is sitting at a PC bang and paying to play per hour, the reason it's so prevalent in Korea is because PC bangs are a huge thing there. They want you to enjoy winning and losing, and try to turn games when it looks over. Even then, compare this to an actual sport. When the game is 5-0, do soccer players just pack up and surrender? No. "Grinding" games in general is bad for the game's community as well, people will get bored much faster just burning through 2-3 games than to stick a single game out, coming ahead or behind, just to know that you've played a great game.

They should disable surrendering in Ranked. Better yet they should disable it altogether !

maybe situationally allow a 15 minute surrender when there is one or more AFK on your team who has been DC'd for X amount of time?

Riot should make it available at 15 minutes ONLY if you have an AFK.
