What do you do as support when you get a bad adc?
I don't claim to be good , but sometimes we get those ADCs that are just.......you know. Any tips on how to deal with this??
Thanks for all your responses , cheers

Avoid making any comments that come off as rude or insulting, that is a sure fire way to make the game 10x worse. Also take into account the team comp on both sides, the likelihood of your opponent ADC and sup just being the better players and think about what you as his sup can do to make his lane phase easier/better.
If after all that he's still being an idiot, constantly going ham and ignoring CS or the opposite of not poking or returning poke and so on then do what the others are saying and treat yourself like a 2nd jungler who would ignore the losing lane to help the rest of the team. Focus on wards and roaming and cross your fingers that the laning phase ends soon. 😬
Rude / insulting are feelings, points of view there is no concrete statement that is considered as such universally. Im not saying people cant ever try to insult some one else but that all depends on how thin skinned the person on the receiving end is and whether they can or want to see the point.
"no offence but..." or "..., bless your heart" then follow up with "<3" they can never get mad and if they do they planned on flaming to begin with
People take "no offense but" to mean that you want to offend people but dont want to get your face punched in all the time. I only use face book regularly and out of social media sites and see it all the time if not these very boards which idk if you can count as social media. People who arent religious or just straight up dont like you can find offence with "Bless your heart". idk what that other one is i dont touch emotes and i dont want to.
anybody thats been exposed to league levels of toxicity either quits league, ignores it and tries to have fun despite, or joins in on the flaming (monkey see, monkey do mentality). flamers will always find a way to flame. but if the player in question genuinely wants to have a good experience they won't get offended at constructive criticism so long as you aren't grilling them
Only reason i put up with league toxicity is because it doesn't even compare to my family as far as intensity it just happens more often because i avoid my extended family. The thing about it is those 'positive players' only come out in 8% of situations and the reason they only seem to be so low as other peoples excuse is that everyone has a bad game or feels bad some time but if less than 10% happens to be pleasant means that people in this game arent inherently positive its that they have positive points instead of being positive and haveing negative points
i csnt really speak about 'out of game' experiences or compare them to legue toxicity. I was only talking about the effects of internet anonymity, the random people that only want to make someones day just a little worse. best way to go about a bad teammate is just to be positive to the rest of your team and hope the odd one out catches on.
hope your out of game circumstances get better tho
Thats just my community as i ignore it for most years and only have to wave something in peoples face once a year
just roam lul
What the other lads are saying, go make plays somewhere else.
Try to get some deep vision. Clear out wards.
After laning phase ends, figure out whoever has the best chance of carrying your team and stick to them. That works a lot of the time.
Roam bro
You learn to turn around fights when your ADC makes a mistake.
If he doesn't go in/back off when he should be, lead him by doing things on your own, but not to the expense of yourself. So for example, if you want him to quit farming like a pussy and start trading, poke on your own but don't drain your own mana pool. If you want him to back his ass off because enemy jungler is coming, ping back, run as far away from him as possible, but don't completely ignore him. Inexperienced ADCs tend to follow their supports because they usually don't know what to do.
If he still can't do something later game, forget about that guy, he's gonna be on his own to catch up. Focus more on your more relevant teammates, but make sure to not leave your ADC behind.
^this.
You just support them as best as you can. If you play your role and prevent them from feeding too hard, it does much more than roaming and leaving them alone. After laning phase, that's an entirely different story. Try to protect other roles in hopes that they can shift the outcome of the match into your favor.
you gank top and mid leave him alone a couples of minutes so that forces him to play safer then go back and tell him : play like I'm not in lane
F$ck your ADC if they suck balls go and help the other 75% of the map.
Go mid and try to help to get them fed first. Once your mid has 2-3 kills they will "try" to repay the favor and will roam bot "hopefully" if not just stay near mid and try to get the enemies mid tower.
Normally when the enemies mid tower is gone the enemy team tends to group as it's a beacon for "We are losing" as Mid is typically the lane that is pushed to win games. Once the enemy team are together try to make a play; so your team can clean up and don't worry if you die as long as your team gets 2-3 towers and/or 1-2 towers and kills if not an ace.
Usually giving them a condition on when you'll go ham with them works for me. Let's say the enemy ad is fed but your ad wants to fight (i think that's what you're hinting at), just tell them "we'll kill when jungle comes and exhaust is up, that's our chance."
Saving their butt a couple times without yourself dying if they do something stupid helps too. (Like Trundle pillaring the enemy ad)
More reason why I play AP Supports, I pick up what they can't hold.
Support the rest of the team?
what is map pressure, what are roams, what is zzrot
I know I've had a few that just run right up to the enemy tower as fast as they can and will try to take out the tower while taking attacks from the enemy adc and support.
In that case I normally just go keep bottom warded so I can see any incoming ganks, if the ADC sinks or swims it's all on them not me. I actually just had a Draven doing exactly this go off on me the other night saying I have "to much map awareness" because I kept leaving lane to help mid while the enemy jungler was at top. >.<
but keep in mind I'm not even max lvl yet so shrugs
surrender cuz the game is over
Roam, if your champ can do things like that. otherwise, try to ask them to play passively. If not, that sucks. Its kinda the same situation as if an ADC has a bad support, except an ADC has less options of things to do about it, but has more ability to take advantage of enemy mistakes.
