Losing games due to lag... still no loss prevention enabled...

Why is the response to these types of issues always so slow unless some Internet group is claiming credit for it on their twitter page? Clearly there were some kind of connectivity issues tonight as people were having trouble logging in. Once in game, major lag spikes every 30 seconds or so make the game incredibly difficult to play (everything appears to freeze while you can still move around, then it all snaps back up to speed again).

As per usual, it only hits certain people, so if you happen to be on the team with more people lagging, enjoy your loss as the lag-less enemy team stomps all over your face. Just lost 36 LP over two games, with multiple people on my team spiking each game, including myself. So, even though I have some more time to play ranked tonight, I have to stop because Riot hasn't acknowledged the problem and I'd be stupid to keep losing LP knowing that it's happening.

This kind of stuff has been so prevalent this season, it's really just getting to the point where I don't enjoy playing the game anymore. I really like the idea of playing the game and look forward to it, but it's like taking a big bite of delicious looking cake and having it turn to dirt in your mouth. The amount of crap you have to carry through to rank up is disgusting:

  • East Coast Ping (Now with 30% MORE ping!)
  • Servers getting DDoS'd
  • Lag spikes and rubber-banding
  • Disconnections
  • Ragequits
  • AFKS
  • Trolls

Notice any pattern with that list? I do. None of it is within my control (aside from perhaps the ping, if I want to quit my job and move to the West Coast). Now, add in the fact that you typically have to carry your team on your back every game to have a shot at winning. Not to mention, you also have to win an extremely high percentage of games in a very specific window to get over the promo series hurdles. I can't be the only one who sees the problem with this.

It may average out over a large number of games, but it sure would be nice to just be able to play competitively without getting kicked in the face so much while trying to climb the ladder.

Good post, but I think Riot's response is "You aren't paying us enough to care!"
