why i would encourage you to ff if the game looks hopeless

JAGMAG··2 votes·1,322 views

its draining really really draining to me at least to play a 50 minute game and lose when we pretty much knew it was a loss from 30 minutes but two people still thought we could win after a game like that i feel exhusted and dont want to play anymore for a good wile but if we pretty much know its going to be a loss and we ff at 30 yeah its still annoying we lost but i can just take a few minutes to shake it off and jump right back in que

basically long drawn out games that you know you are going to lose are draining and stressful just ff pls

Rammus time to play who can execute in the enemy fountain

DrCyanide3 votes

See, it's people with that mentality that are your problem. If you're still in the game 20 minutes later even with that crap going on you could have won.

HexaDecimel2 votes

Excellent point! I mean if the game is still going 20 min after you thought you lost then clearly you could have been doing much better if that one guy hadn't been feeding in an attempt to end quickly.

Spicy Rice2 votes

Honestly, in those games, its due to the enemy team just delaying the end of the game. They farm up to full build while taking every drag and baron. And if they engage, they win.

HexaDecimel3 votes

But delaying the match is actually a dangerous game. Sure it can be used to increase you lead, but it also gives time for the other side to catch up. Of course if the opposing team doesn't change their strategy and play smarter then they will probably continue to lose. But if they are able to smarten up then stretching out the game might not be the best idea for the team in the lead.

JAGMAG1 votes

exactly my team is like hey we've made it this long we can still win and im like....look at there items and drag stacks versus our items and drag stacks.....yeah gg ff

JAGMAG1 votes

people do not seem to realize how big a role gold plays yeah you might still be playing the game 20 minutes later but if they have full build and you only have 3 to 4 complete items you are going to get wrecked and they can win any time they feel like it in a game with no voice communication its to hard to coordinate the kind of map movement you would need to avoid a team fight and take towers without losing anything yourself and eventually they will show up mid and take your elo

also i do not feed intentionally unless somone else is trolling or flaming me then i might give a couple to make a point

HexaDecimel1 votes

Firstly, I didn't say you were intentionally feeding.

Secondly, I am no disagreeing with you when you say that the team that is ahead by a large margin is more likely to win.

Thirdly, My point is the longer the game goes, the more opportunities the other team has to get back into it. If they play it right they they can avoid fights, farm up, and finish items. It doesn't mean that they can always win, but the longer the game goes the more opportunities they will have to get back into it. Therefore, too the people that give up and "DO" feed, imagine how much better the team could have been doing if the game is still going after 40min and they hadn't given up.

Yea see my issue with this is people think there is no chance at victory and its 100% loss after giving up First Blood... Ive had games where i single-handedly take out all the carries in a 5v1 leaving only 2 enemies left and we lose because my team is at fountain thinking we already lost. Ive had games where i won us 2-3 teamfights in a row, got us 2 barons and 3 dragons took 5 turrets including an Inhib and when i say "ok push bot/top and we win!" i get this respone "whats the point we lost we are just delaying the inevitable"... its like did you not just win 3 teamfights? Didnt we just take an inhibitor and 2 barons? We can win! STOP GIVING UP! Sometimes you just gotta trust your team and play smarter. People are more inclined to give up rather then try to win. Like try a different strategy, because doing the same thing does not help.

I do not want to hear any situational scenarios like "but when 4 out of 5 people are 20/0" or "when my whole team is 0/30 with no turrets" because there is really no excuse for giving up and not trying. Sometimes its the right time to surrender, most of the time all you need is one good teamfight and you can push on from there you just need to try. You hate it when people don't surrender, i hate it when people give up and stop trying because they are waiting for the surrender.

Remember, if you surrender its 100% Defeat, but if you keep trying there is at least a 1% chance of Victory.

JAGMAG1 votes

there is no getting threw to you people XD

I do not want to hear any situational scenarios like "but when 4 out of 5 people are 20/0" or "when my whole team is 0/30 with no turrets" because there is really no excuse for giving up and not trying.

yeah those both sound like great reason to ff and if you wont ff when the hell would i keep trying it takes allot of concentration and effort to play well and im just wearing myself out on a lost cause no im not going to try hard for that

also dont say those situations are far fetched ive had many games were ive had 2-4 times the kills of the rest of my team with 1/4 the deaths of them and i think in that situation if the only person doing well and carrying the rest dose not want to keep carrying and wants to ff then you should ff because if i do not want to carry you and you cant carry yourself its gg anyways

Stephenizgod2 votes

Oh i see, see there is your problem! You need to stop playing League of Legends, there problem solved :)

The average game (or at least for me) is about 35-50 minutes... if you do not like playing that long stop playing this game because you are ruining it for other people who think they can win. You do not get to forfeit just because you are tired and bored that is unfair and completely ridiculous... Play a different game please or go to bots because at least those last less then 30 minutes most of the time.

You dont feel like trying anymore? Game is too long and you are tired? boo hoo... this is a freakin Moba the game goes on until one side loses not when you are done playing. Im surprised you are not perma-banned, that should be bannable! "Hey guys im tired lets FF" like fuck off i want to fucking win...

Puynsi2 votes

The whole point of MOBAS is dragging the game for as long as possible. Since it will end with someone doing something stupid, not because of gamebreaking issues. Also, if you don't like to play for extended periods of time you should move to something more basic like CoD. :^)

JAGMAG1 votes

the point of MOBAS is not dragging the game out wtf are you talking about A mark of a strong team is how early can they end and teams that win but take 40+ minutes to do soo will be critisied. yes its solo que and not 5s but it still applies the point is to end as quickly as possible I also play ranked not normal in normal people just want kills and more kills in ranked its more about winning and climbing and you will climb faster if you ff a game then if you drag it out simply because i can ff jump into que and play almost an entire game in the time it takes you to finish the first one its dumb to not ff

and its not how long the game is anyways i can play CoD for hours its just imagine if CoD made you play for 40 minutes straight in a match were you were getting spawn camped and there was no way to win but if you left you wouldn't be allowed to play CoD on that account ever again

Puynsi1 votes

Giving up is for %%%s, this apply to professional players too, who instead of coming back they just go "hurr durr we lost, lets just feed so they win faster"

JAGMAG1 votes

well for one in higher elo its much much more gg then it is in lower elo because the higher elos actually know how to punish mistakes to were in low elo (where i am at) i see teams get away with dumb shit all the time that if people knew how to punish they could shorten games by 10-20 minutes but they do not know how to punish so the game drags on forever and you lose anyways

GundayMonday2 votes

My favorite games are the ones with the amazing 50min comeback. Most people play this game to, play a game.

DrCyanide2 votes

Your problem doesn't seem to be the length of the game, or even people thinking the game is winnable. Your problem is stress.

Relax a bit. Ranked is just a game mode like any other. You win? Great! You lose? So what, there's always the next game. Don't focus too much on what your allies are doing, just play the game and focus on what you can do better to help win. Laugh off some of the dumb plays instead of dwelling on them.

A friend of mine put it this way: 40% of games you're going to lose no matter. Just accept them and move on. 40% of games you'll win regardless of what you do. Accept them graciously, don't think of them as the norm. The remaining 20% are up to you to decide how they'll turn out. Just play your best.

im competitive i enjoy ranked mode because tbh it has better players then normals normals bore me because unless im duoing with someone much higher ranked then me or a party i just pub stomp normals and its boring even when i troll the enemy team gets all mad at me for try harding because i wrecked them with stuff like attack speed shen jungle its just boring so i play ranked and im fine with losing in ranked just dont make me sit threw a 50 minute game that i know we are going to lose unless 3 of the enemy afk and even then they could probably still 2v5 and we still could lose

That's fine, but being competitive and not getting worked up about the game aren't mutually exclusive.

and at the same time it's draining for people who never forfeit to have teamates who give up, it's a two-way street.

Korillo1 votes

A game that goes that late is definitely worth sticking out. All it takes is 1 late team fight win to end a game or 1 mistake by the enemy team.

For example, I had a ranked game a few days ago where we were down 6 towers and 3 dragons to our opponent (2 of those towers being our nexus towers). They got greedy trying to finish the game and gave us a free ace. They then continuously made cocky tower dives giving us free kills. Eventually we caught them in a 5v4 without their adc in the fight, did a 4 for 0 kill trade, took baron and ended the game.

We were down over 12k gold 28 mins into the game and still managed to win. Most games are not unwinnable! Stick it out.

JAGMAG1 votes

maybe i didn't word it well i would actually rather take the loss and move on then to just keep going and possibly get a win if the game goes over 40 minutes i quit having fun and it just becomes stressful espicailly when behind

also im talking about if your team has a decent stall comp but you know your just dragging it out and they will eventfully baron and tower dive and you cant stop it its just a matter of time

Korillo2 votes

There's always a chance the enemy team can throw, and it's rather unfair that you would want to force your team to FF just because you aren't having fun anymore.

If you queue up, finish the game end of story. Game isn't over until someone loses their nexus.

JAGMAG1 votes

no its over long before that rarely are games actually decided by one team fight 90% of games are usually determined by like the last 5-10 team fights and you know what if my team is doing really bad and i do not want to play anymore then i dont want to play and they can still try if they want but im done gg its over ff or suffer with me your choice im not going ot try hard and carry someone who cant carry their own weight

Angel VII1 votes

Whatever mode you are playing in, if there are 2+ people who still want to play/think you can win, you have made a commitment to your team. You didn't see the Dallas Cowboys /ff when they were 3 of their best players down and loosing like crazy. Give up = 100% loss. Try hard = ALWAYS a chance of winning. You're already in it, so if your teammates are still up for the challenge, don't give up! This is a TEAM game, and not just about the desires and feelings of ONE player.

Also, perhaps modify the way you present your request? I'm much more inclined to agree to a surrender if someone says in chat something like "Hey guys, I think this one is gone. Can we /ff so we can all reque and try again and hopefully get off to a better start?" or whatever, virtually anything, than a random out of no where "____ has started a vote for surrender" with no explanation, or even worse, someone who starts raging and insisting on a surrender or they will feed/afk/QQ. I will almost always vote no, no matter how bad the situation, for those people.

Communicate with your team more. Present requests as REQUESTS, not things you DEMAND of your teammates. Offer suggestions in a POSITIVE and supportive way rather than flaming. We are all PEOPLE playing together, not bots. =)

Angel VII1 votes

No matter how upset you get you shouldn't intentionally feed. You are punishing the WHOLE team, yourself included, for your irritation at one or even two players. Want revenge on a jerk/troll? DO YOUR BEST! CREAM them with your k/d/a/creep score. =) That's a much better form of revenge.

Bluenose 1 votes

FF should be taken out of the game all together... you all saying its a loss and u want to ff, that's bullshit.. play a game till the end or don't play at all. usually the case is that you may die 3 or 4 times in about 4 mins and you realize that your team cant carry you so you then MENTALLY throw in the towel and make the game a 4v5 due to your negative attitude... its a game where every one wants to win and you giving up half your games cause you think you cant win?? is so fucking bullshit having to hear every second or third game. GG AT 3 MINUTES cause the top laner died twice. the game isn't about being a keyboard warrior, its about 5 random people trying to play together and win.. less typing and more focus, you would be surprised on how many games you could win. TAKE FF OUT OF THE GAME AND PULL YOUR FUCKING HEADS IN SUMMONERS.......

JAGMAG1 votes

or how about you just ff the game so everyone can move on to a better one? if ive mentally thrown in the towel the game is pretty much over unless someone on the team quits playing and lets their challenger brother play for them.
