That is insanely awesome. The only thing I would change is make his model look stronger and less limp, but that is a VU so this will do. So good!

What makes it even more impressive is how blocky the Cho'gath rig is. Considering how polygonal and weird the model itself is, it's really impressive that the designer did this well. Cho'gath really needs a full VU and VO, but I'm sure Riot's got a lot on their plate, and this is actually a really good example of how to stretch old models to fit a new look.

One of my favorite Texture rebalances in this PBE cycle. Hopefully he gets a VU soon. I want him to look like his splash art.

The only problem I've noticed is that even though they changed the eyes to match more with the current splashart, the 'redone' eyes, in what is essentially a recolor skin in the blue "Nightmare Cho'Gath", are still in the style of the older look.

It might have been overlooked by the texture department but it doesn't seem to make much sense in consistency if it was purposely intended for any reason.

It seems to me the artist that worked on the base texture did way more than was actually required in this texture rebalance, sadly they didn't put that effort in the skin textures.

Gentleman Cho Gath, while having some of the colour shifts, also has the old eyes and old beak.

Seriously. I don't even play Cho, but now I might buy him just to fap to the rebalance

Yeah he looks brilliant, it just means more people will be playing cho gath now and realise he's OP as fuck...

Why.

He doesn't know what a silence is, does he?

I recently played Soraka, that silence was the worst thing in the game, getting caught meant dying after 2000 damage instead of after 6000.

Eh, he pretty much lives and dies by hitting his Rupture. If he does, yes he is friggin strong. If he doesn't, then he's pretty useless.

Wow, that's not a rebalance that's a full blown TU!

And it even matches his Splash art perfectly.

This is an artist that goes above and beyond what is required, really well done!

BLU Medic4 votes

Wow.

The only thing I dislike is how dim his eyes (and I suppose his body in general) look, they could be a tad brighter and green-er. But the rest of it, he actually looks more monster-y. drools

Kinda regret buying battlecast chogath now that his classic skin looks so great.

Looks lame, honestly. I miss this game having color.

I hope they give Kog similar treatment

his new splash art doesn't match the colours on his model at all

His new splash only shows his face, which is close to the same color. It is misleading when you see the blue body though.

As a Cho'Gath player I am in love with his texture rebalance (though I will still stick to my beloved Battlecast Prime skin.)

Shandrake2 votes

Shame I'll never see it in-game. Battlecast Prime is part of the glorious evolution.

hope they did this to all his skins, my gentleman Chogathwoud look so dapper a texture rebalance

Toa of Death1 votes

Sadly, his skins didn't get as much love. Nightmare, Jurassic, and Gentleman Cho just got a small TU that didn't really change much. Loch Ness just got its colors brightened. I doubt they'll touch Battlecast Prime cause it honestly doesn't look that bad.

Chespin20132 votes

now if only riot can answer many players prays by doing reasonable nerfs and revert nerfs to other champs that were otherwise were fine they way they were eventhough they were used for a role they arent main for in lcs and than straight nerf everthing about him

Durzaka1 votes

I think it is a touch too dark, but otherwise pretty nice.

Grouchy Poro1 votes

I wish his gentleman skin got as cool a rebalance. It just looks polished up compared to this awesomeness :/

i just wish his w and e looks better

This is so sad lmao, he looks nothing like his splash instead they keep the same model that they made in Microsoft paint

OblongOtter1 votes

Yeah I love it so much.

Now if they could give him a VU so he stops looking like a chinese knockoff version of Violator.

From what I was told he is planned to have a VU, but it will be a complete tear down of his model.

Rinky Dinky1 votes

6 different models, all with unique animations, and they change depending on his stack count.

Its gonna be a while, sounds like an ultimate skin lol

MunchMeister1 votes

Does his spells get updated effects/particles, or was this body only? I didn't like the appearance of his W and E much, and maybe his Q. Still, this looks awesome!

Toa of Death1 votes

Just his body but I think this will satisfy until he gets a VU.

KatOwO1 votes

he still looks small without his stacks though. maybe a little bigger? but he does look great. love it
