My Guide on countering Yasuo

Hello everyone! I am a Vel'Koz main, here to talk about countering Yasuo. So, you're new-ish to the game(or maybe not), and you have no idea how to counter Yasuo. Well, I am here to help!

1. Predict his tornado

When Yasuo is able to cast his tornado, play proactively. You know he will most likely send it, so anticipate the attack. By doing this, it makes it much easier to dodge his tornado, and drastically reduce his harass in lane.

2. Get a Stopwatch

Getting a Stopwatch(I prefer getting it from Perfect Timing) is also a good thing to counter Yasuo with. If he ults you, use this to prevent falling behind early on. Additionally, this can be built into Zhonya's, Stoneplate, or Guardian Angel depending on what you need.

3. If you are ranged, harass with auto attacks

Yasuo's passive is one of the reasons he can stay in lane for so long. With other Melee vs Ranged matchups, make sure to sneak in auto attacks to proc his passive, decreasing his sustain. That way his shield won't protect him from a poke ability or engage tool.

4. Bait his wind wall

Everyone has had that moment where the perfect time to strike was ruined by a Wind Wall. For example, my friend was playing Sejuani, and his ult got completely deleted by Yasuo's Wind Wall(which imo is kinda bs). The best way to play around it is to try and bait it out. One way is to use a low cost spell, then have the jungler gank, so he can't block your attack.
