Trying To Learn A New Role Is Frustrating

Especially when that role is Top Lane and the matchmaking seems to want to constantly pit me against Gold 1 and above. Riot, I'm a Silver 3 player. Silver 2, at most. Normals or not, I will not (and cannot) learn anything about this role if I can't even PLAY the role. It's very frustrating being at the mercy of this player who's light years out of my league and I'm basically only able to sit under my turret while this player free farms or dives me, due to them knowing most, if not all their matchups. Either they free farm and I sit there looking stupid, for fear of being jumped on, dove on by their jungler, or losing too much cs trying to roam for other stuff. It's just really frustrating.

Do you realize that there is also a mmr in normal ? Do you realize that normals are for fun... And most of high elo player dont take it seriously, dont play their main and just... have fun with their friends on normals... (and by the way if u met a gold1... it can also mean that he plays with his B5 friend) Do you realize that learning a character or a position is fine in normal ? Do you realize that learning vs higher elo player makes you a better player ?

Boy losing is a part of the game... I'd faced diamonds and even master on normal/or even ranked flex, with my little silver soloQ sup levl... playing with a diamond/plat friend... And... I won... or losed (mostly won to be honnest i'm used to play with my friend we have a good synergie)

Those game are FAR more interesting than Silver/bronze game.

I've also faced diamon sup on normal "like you" if i win my lane and the game i'm just much more proud... else well i have the excuse "yeah i did fine but he is diamond... i cant blame myself too much"...

Just ENJOY that kind of game... there is no point getting annoyed on normal. There is no "goal". Like there is in ranked.

I wouldn't say it's the standard experience but man does it suck when in happens ^_^ It'd be cool to have a specific 'new at role' buffer for 5 games or so.

I'm not sure about how will it work, but the "rank per role" idea is trying to fix what you say, since if you are (example) bronze lvl as a toplaner you could play rankeds to play top against ppl with you same lvl.

That's the theory, not sure about how it will work.
