When is it better to use Cho'Gath's ultimate on non-champions versus saving it for a POTENTIAL kill?

If anyone could offer advice, that would be appreciated.

Its a matter of one simple question:

Will you get a stack?

A: When you do not yet have 6 stacks B: When you are attempting to win a smite fight C: When you are burning in hell for playing Cho'Gath as he is right now.

Best time would be when you're getting ready to back, obviously.

Otherwise, depends on what role you are. If you're top and your jungle (and their jungle) are both bot side you know you can just play safe for a bit, so get the stack and make sure your Jungler knows not to come top for awhile.

If you're the jungler, when their jungler is either backing / not ready to contest an objective like Dragon, Baron or Rift Herald... Or when your laners all have their lanes pushed.

I would say you can use it freely to secure dragons and herald/baron. That will give you a stack and not count against the 6 stacks you can get from minions and monsters, since they are epic.

All depends on the situation. I say if you're in range to use it on a fed/priority enemy champ, and the kill range icon pops up, go for it. Otherwise, get the six stacks from minions, then start using his ult however you want. After about 8 to 12 stacks(depending on how the game is going) start using it to chunk people.

Although, you should always prioritize stacking if the situation doesn't need you to chunk someone with ult.
