Why can't Azir soldiers apply on hit effects?

Because there is no point in getting red buff. =( Especially if you play jungle Azir.

Imagine if you got hit with 3 stacks of on-hit effect every time he AAs. 136 magic damage and -15 magic resist (-25 max) per hit with Wit's End. 45 + 45% AP magic damage per hit with Nashor's Tooth. 24% of targets current health as physical damage with Botrk. 18% of your current mana as physical damage with Muramana (this one would be sick, imagine if you had 3k mana = 540 additional dmg) 75 + 3*Feral Stacks as magic damage and restoring 30 health with Feral Flare.

That's why.

This. I don't think there'd be much harm in allowing soldiers to apply red buff, though.

He would also have far less AP with that build. I don't think the damage would make that big of a difference.

I am not impying that he should build all of these at once... Just saying that on-hit effects x3 would be an overkill and his damage would be simply too high if he build any of those items.

And yes, it would make that big of a difference - to match Wit's End damage without even including it's AS bonus and MR shred you would need around 110 AP (and Wit's End costs 2,5k).

I think he would just have a ton of wasted stats. CDR/AP is still his best picks. It would make Nashor's not such a turd on him though.

Because then everyone would build Nashor's Tooth, Wit's End, BoTRK, Lich's Bane, and Deathcap with select boots. Each basic attack would deal 227 (+85% AP) magic damage plus 8% of their current health in physical damage plus an extra 50 (+50% AD) (+50% AP) magic damage on the first attack after spells. Then multiply that by three and add MR shred... in an AoE. Thats why.

Who the hell jungles with Azir?

It actually can be done, due to his low CDs and high attack speed. There are far worse things out there.

because AD azir would get stupid as hell with his 1000+ range aa

Look at how many items grant on hit effects, now imagine Azir can hit you with three of them at once. Don't even pretend that wouldn't be overpowered.

Don't his soldiers already have attack restrictions though? Attacking the same target with more than one soldier decreases the damage to 25% or something. Just add 'and cannot apply on-hit effects' to that.

Maybe only his first summoned soldiers could apply on-hit effects?
