He builds insane amounts of HP. Most of his damage comes from autoattacks and he gets free attack speed. The active can be used as an AA reset to get his bite stacked faster. Just wondering if i'm missing something because I have never seen it built once.
Because people are not creative enough ? Like why are people not building a wits end on shen ? Instead of your normal mr item build wits end instead. You steal their mr in a fight and then your q hits them even harder and faster. It's a no brrainer really.
Volibear is a juggernaut who's only survivability steroid has static 2 minute CD, and who's base tank stats aren't that impressive either. Building anything but full tank items often means you can not do your job when Chosen of the Storm is on CD.
I seen him build it a few times and it's pretty good.

I just like to go full tank and face check everything. I don't need it when my bite does a bajillion damage anyway.
he doesn't really need it.... at all. He benefits more from atk speed because his ult is literally his teamfight damage. It gives him 100+ on-hit damage that also spreads to nearby enemies, so the faster he attacks, the more procs of that damage he gets. Works super well with triforce or wits end.
