Ikr I saw a teamcomp with viktor AND sejuani and was like "oh great, now two balanced champs are gonna get nerfed to the ground".

Good news is that won't happen. Bad news is that Hecarim is gonna get gutted instead.

Honestly, wins and losses happen for everyone. Karthus is not always gonna shit on Zed. Sejuani is not always gonna hit 4-man ults. If these two champions seriously get nerfed just because they unexpectedly won a game, I have little faith in the future of this game.

Hecarim is in no way balanced. Sure, he isn't all that viable in LCS because he falls behind if he can get denied (2v1, mind you). That doesn't change that he is a 1v1 bully with a Trinity power spike, excellent late game and great roam pressure.

Karthus goin git DFG COMPENSATION.

Q damage lowered to 40/45/50/55/60 (+30% AP) from 40/60/80/100/120 (+30% Ability Power) Q Mana cost increased to 45 at all ranks, from 20/26/32/38/44

W Cooldown lowered to 17 seconds from 18 seconds

E Range lowered to 375 from 425 E Mana cost lowered to 30/41/53/64/76 from 30/42/54/66/78 Mana per second

R Range lowered to 1000 from Global R Cost increased to 200 at all ranks from 150/175/200 R AP ratio lowered to .4 from .6 R Cooldown lowered to 190/175/160

We lowered the cooldown on his W and ult to compensate for gutting his entire kit. It didnt hav no counterplay.

You are forgetting something:

  • We buffed his attack frame speed. That does mean Karthus has more attack speed, but he finishes his attacks faster.

The only one who got actual buffs was Ahri. Then when she realized she didn't need them they reverted her back to her perfectly balanced self the very next patch.

Meanwhile they try to buff Veigar and end up recklessly gutting him, and now we have to wait multiple patches before he ever returns to his previous self, which will likely never happen.

I tried playing Veigar the other day.....what the actual fuck. If they are reworking him, then fucking rework him. Don't give us half ass shit that puts him into the ground. Hes been the same for years; its not like leaving him for 2 more weeks was going to break the game.

Karthus has always been one of my 2 favorite midlaners (other being malzahar) if they touch him because of that ONE game, I will quit. no joke. He is perfectly balanced, has his strengths and weaknesses, and counter play with zhonias, banshies, and other champions like siver with her E and sona and soraka heals which can all save those ult kills. he is fine

It's getting ridiculous. I was so excited to see Karthus get some major LCS play and win no less, but I am afraid that Riot is just going to assume he's broken and nerf him to the ground.

I guess people like seeing the same extremely small pool of champions each game:Zed LeeSin Annie Morgana Graves Sivir Rumble Thresh Corki

Because apparantly the champions that are picked every single game in a match where winning is more important than having fun are definitely picked because they are the only balanced champs in the game.

In the same match they switch lanes and Zed takes a base tower and inhib. Zed was nerfed to stop him split pushing, that doesnt seem to be working.......

I know this a joke, but I'm not laughing. Now that you pointed it out, I'm actually scared.

Looking at the pattern the balance team has drawn for us, I wouldn't be surprised if he actually did get nerfed for some manufactured bullshit reason while Zed once again skips away unharmed.

If he gets nerfed...I mean, Riot already took Revive away for no reason, I already have no desire to play him anymore, what more could they take away?

People are actually scared that their mains will be played in competitive play successfully.

Let me rephrase that:

People constantly beg for non-FoTM/non-OP picks in competitive play, but the times when that does happen, people are suddenly afraid for that champion's life, for if it's anything we learned from Kass and Veigar, they aren't seeing LCS play ever again.

I don't like where this is going. At all. At first I was kinda looking up to patch 5.5, but I can already feel danger ahead for Karthus.

Hello summoners To prevent Karthus being a popular pick and because a rioter got hit by his ult last game, we are going to give Karthus compensation for Enchantment:Juggernaut being removed.

Q: Damaged reduced to 0/0/0/0/0, delay increased by .5 now knocks up targets on hit, allowing Yasuo to ult them from anywhere on the map W: Now has a 3 second delay and a ten minute cast time, it was worth the entire kit of 3 supports!!! E: No longer gives mana when killing a unit, we feel that mid laners should be out of mana constantly to provide fun and counterplay(tm) to our favorite healthy energy users R: Delay has been increased by 5 seconds, no longer follows champions, instead hitting where they were when it was first cast. Just in case these buffs are too much, we're reducing it's ap ratio to .1.

Can you imagine a world where that disgusting champion Karthus could ever touch the champion pools of our korean overlords? Well just to be sure, we are permanently banning all current Karthus players. That'll show them for having fun.

Not sure, I don't watch LCS much, I really only watch it occasionally to see interesting strategies instead of following specific teams/players (was so excited to see uncommon picks like Viktor Sejuani Hecarim all in one game).

I think there is a VOD (video on-demand) section on the e-sports site.

karthus has been OP for a while now. it's a long time coming. infinite mana, insane damage, no-skill penta kills and doesn't need an escape because has an aoe that will 100-0 any melee within seconds.

It's weird that building a item 3070 as a first item gives a mage "infinite mana", meanwhile Zed is free to go straight for item 3144

I love facing against Karthuses (Karthi?), because he's frankly not even slightly OP. He's a free kill unless he's really good. He's incredibly squishy.
