Aurelion Sol Help

Honestly, I like Aurelion Sol. I just can't figure out how he's "good". From the start of the match until you are nearly full build it feels like you are putting out damage equivalent to a support build. You can land everything, and everybody walks it off like nothing. I've tried full AP burst builds, DOT builds, and the "recommended" stuff for him to no avail. It takes about 30 minutes to hit anywhere close to what you'd consider a spike, and by that time your whole base is falling apart because you haven't been an influence on the match at all.

Does anyone have recommendations?

I insist this on every ap carry in the game excluding maybe assassin but I think every ap carries 3rd item should be a void staff.

yeah that's all the advice I can give u from my experience on ap mages, I know nothing about sol.

Well - Aurelion doesnt really have such spikes - or actual advantage on lane. Some you just lose less hard than others.

You win games with him by using his E - Show off behind the enemy bot or top use your Ult as insec, secure kills and a lead for your sidelanes while denying your lane opponent any chance to get fed by pushing him into his tower.

Run Full early game setup, scare your opponent early by forcing trades you can win, and gain some time until you're ready to roam.

I'm pretty sure their is a pro player in NA or EU that is undefeated on sol, can't remember his name but he might be worth looking up.
