Poppy, how to fix her. Please leave your suggestions.
So the Lolli Poppy skin became available and I bought It, what use is a skin if you're not gonna use it? The new map is out so I Fired up the ol Team Builder and put myself as Poppy top for the whole weekend. I played nothing Else. What I found is that there was not a Champ that I faced that didn't completely wreck me. They won all the exchanges, they pushed me to tower and kept me there, I basically handicapped my team by picking Poppy. It was a 5v4 right from the get go.
You might be saying, "Hey what about her late game man, I bet you stomped them then!" I found that late game, in the few times that the game even went that long, that I had a very hard time sticking to my targets. I was very kiteable, sure if they stood still I could totally kill at least 2 of them before my ult wore off, but they all just ran away until it wore off then I was completely useless to my team once more. Also the high mobility of the champ pool is making Poppy's kit more and more obsolete over time. Try catching an Ezreal or a Zed as Poppy... nope you can't. Even Orianna can get away.
Two options. 1: Keep her the same but fix her stuff so she can keep pace. 2: Total Re-work.
As an old Poppy main I am rooting for option 1.
Her Q: Problem; is it's too expensive mana wise and has to be used a lot to farm under tower.
:Solution; Partial mana refund on creep kills or lower base mana cost.
Her W: Problem; Also very expensive mana wise and its speed boost is too mediocre early game. :Solution; Reduce mana cost slightly and giver her the max speed boost at all ranks of the spell.
Her E: Problem; It helps your target at least half the time(Think Ali Headbutts to safety) and it is trumped by every other displacement ability in the game. :Solution; Make it a skill shot and then increase its knock back range keep the wall stun and give it priority over other displacement abilities ,or make it a skill shot and add a small knock up at the end of it and remove the wall stun ,or just keep it a targeted ability remove the wall stun and add a small knock up at the end of it. Making her E a skill shot would allow her to jump walls and escape ganks etc.
Her R: Problem; It makes Morello cry. : Solution; Prescribe him Prozak. Her Ult is what makes Poppy unique, removing this would essentially make her not Poppy. IT is very Kiteable and Escapable, it's only OP if ppl stick around Poppy spamming abilities on her while her ult is on.
I believe these changes would make her a little more viable but not OP, we still haven't addressed the fact that she is the only Melee champ in the game without and AOE ability, and that Tri force used to have a random slow built into it, and that nerf alone hurt Poppy more than any other changes to the game. What would you do to fix her but keep her the same?
