Assist Duration Determined By Damage Done To Target

If someone does 80% damage to an enemy, and a teammate kills that enemy after the timer for acquiring an assist on that enemy has expired. It really doesn't seem fair if you don't get an assist for that kill. So I thought it would be a cool idea if, depending on the damage that you do to a enemy champion, will determine how long you will be eligible for an assist on said champion. Because doing 80% damage (just a % number), to someone who does 1% (again, just a % number) is a big deal. Just think its fair to award someone who does damage a longer time to receive an assist, rather than someone who doesn't do as much damage to the enemy.

So, how's your plan for Heal/Shield Supports then? No damage = no assist?

Yeah i thought about that one, and as i did say it was just an idea. So maybe heals and damage give different duration. Again just an idea.

Or then you realize this is a team game and you want your teammates to get assists.

Never said i didn't want them to not get it. I'm saying if u do more damage u get a longer time to acquiring an assist

Why does it matter?

Wouldn't you be mad if you almost killed them and didn't get anything out of it?

I think I've played this game long enough to know that feeling, but I think the assist duration is more than enough as it is.

I know some people may hate the idea and some may love it. But just thought that people may like it due to the fact the feeling sucks when you do work and you get nothing for it.
