Can someone explain how this happens.

This is not the first time either. I queue up as bot for primary, mid as secondary. When the queue pops I am mid lane and some other guy gets bot....After the game ends we reveal to each other that I am bot main and he was mid main. Why are we put into our secondary roles when we don't have overlapping first picks.

Did he say specifically that he qued for mid as primary? Just because he said he is a mid main does not mean he didnt que for bot primary. I am mainly support but there are times i que for other roles.

Information on primary/secondary queue picks isn't tracked anywhere that I've seen.
