A feedback board
As a precursor, I had apparently been worrying for pretty little. I'd expected ADC to be dumpstered at the onset of the preseason, but it honestly doesn't feel so bad. With a lot of priority surrounding the bottom half of the map with the dragons, it's more fun that I'd experienced. Only question mark I'd come across in the few games I'd played so far was dying to two abilities from a 2/0 Zed. 100% hp in 0.36 seconds, but that's whatever. I Just wanted to say I'm pretty satisfied with the preseason so far.
That's not what this thread is about though. Not long ago I'd predicted Varus to rise in popularity/playrate come the preseason. More than just him however, I had guessed there would be a rise in lane dominant ADC's in general to gain control over the dragon area. Why Varus specifically is the nature of his W Q interaction. Granted, I build him as a normal crit marksman, so take it with a grain of salt when I say that with one item, or at least BF sword and warhammer, your W empowered fully charged Q with 3 blight stacks deals more than 700 damage to dragon. At every stage of the game, Varus out-damages smite on Dragon, and that level of control I feel is invaluable and super easy to abuse with a strong lane.
Anyway, I'd watched a few games from one of my favorite streamers last night, and 3 out of 3 of the games I'd watched contained Varus in them. They were on-hit building nerds, but that matters less. My prediction, early as it is, seems like it may have some validity to it, and I wanted to see if other people are seeing a rise in Varus presence, or even what predictions you guys had for how the meta would shift to fit the preseason.
Did any of you get what you wanted? Were you pleasantly surprised or let down? Did you predict a certain champion/class of champion would be picked up/put down, and are the games you'd played yesterday justifying that claim? Just want to hear what everyone else is experiencing, because Riot actually didn't fuck up preseason it feels like.
