I really feel like she needs to be more punishable for what she is capable of. You can't target her but she can just cast abilities and attack you like it's nothing. Albeit, she really needs another champ to be useful AT ALL, but she'll always be with a champ until they die and later on, she just hops back and forth from teammate to teammates like a poltergeist. You can't punish her in the laning phase, unless the player is just braindead, which is not possible for any other support. I believe that this fact is the number one reason players hate playing against her and the number one problem with her kit. I think that these ideas are good for fixing it. They're not the best but I'm trying to take and give without being too biased:

  1. Make it to where she can't anchor herself to a teammate that is below a certain health percentage or if she herself is below a certain health percentage.
  2. Make it to where either her health OR mana is slowly consumed for the amount of time she is anchored, if it's her health then make it to where her Q has healing properties similar to soraka's when you land it. If it's her mana, same thing with her Q but instead of health, she regenerates mana.
  3. Make it to where she can't use her abilities for a short window after casting her W.
  4. Don't give her a free rank in W at level one because her and her target get bonus damage stats when she's anchored.
  5. When her anchor is stunned, Yuumi can't cast abilities for her anchor until the stun wears off?

I mean, these are just some thoughts and ideas I could come up with that don't take away from her overall kit but makes her more punishable and less annoying to deal with.

Your suggestions are bad, but Yuumi is a no counterplay champion. If Yuumi is an issue, you can't target her at all, which makes her inherently broken. It's like they said "what is the counterplay to Soraka?", and someone went "well, you can focus her, and she dies". To which the Riot CEO responded "Great, make an untargetable Soraka." Riot is a full-r%%%%% company, and honestly, League is one of the least competitive games right now (including card games).

Just make it so that she takes a certain percentage of the damage her anchor takes, and have this value go down as she puts points in W- So she has to choose between having good poke, good heal, or good survive-ability. Have it start at ~20% and go down to ~5.

Yuumi You don't understand Yuumi at all do you. There are multiple problems with what you are suggesting. "1) Make it to where she can't anchor herself to a teammate that is below a certain health percentage or if she herself is below a certain health percentage." If she can't anchor to a teammate that is below a certain health then that just defeats the purpose of her being a sup. She also has the lowest health in the entire game, so she is always at 1 crit shot from any champ and she is dead.

  1. If it's her mana, same thing with her Q but instead of health, she regenerates mana. Again she has the lowest health in the game so draining her health isn't a option, and her Q if it had healing properties couldn't fire fast enough to keep her alive. If it were to drain her mana then one of two thing would have to happen. 1) giver her a greater mana regen when she isn't anchored, 2) if Yummi has draining mana then lets think of other who "need it" Singed Volibear Velkoz Viktor Thresh Malzahar Jax Aatrox AurelionSol Lucian Nasus Morgana Renekton Warwick Xerath and there are many more.

  2. Make it to where she can't use her abilities for a short window after casting her W. Again it defeats her purpose of a sup, she is meant to jump from one person to the next healing them.

  3. Don't give her a free rank in W at level one because her and her target get bonus damage stats when she's anchored. Yuumi isn't the only one with a free rank in a abilities, and if hers gets removed then all of them would have to be. Karma Jayce Elise Nidalee

  4. When her anchor is stunned, Yuumi can't cast abilities for her anchor until the stun wears off? again it defeats her purpose of being a sup. all other supports don't get stunned if there ADC gets stunned why should Yuumi be any different?

So what exactly do you want done with her?

I've got another suggestion. It might suck but it synergizes with her anchor: Make it to where she can only anchor herself to a single champ for a set period of time. Since her anchor has no CD or cost, it would encourage transferring and discourage babysitting while making it easier to deal with her when need be. To compensate, you could boost her health and defense stats so when she's not anchored, she wouldn't get one-shotted by everything.

"Can't target her at all unless the player is braindead" You mean like literally any support that isn't a short range poke mage?

Poke supports: can't target them because they play at great range. Enchanter supports: can't target them because they're always behind their carry. Hook supports: can't target someone who is only in range for 1.5 seconds before their CC lands and you don't get to move again until you're dead. Tank supports: can't target them unless they walk up to proc Relic, and if you do they'll just heal it off on base HP regen and Relic procs.

Of course you know it's not really that simple. Hook and Tank supports have only their Relic Shield if they never go in. Poke supports can only land one spell on you from extreme range. Enchanter supports can only shield off roughly one spell or auto attack unless they want to step up and take risks. Every single support champion has to take risks to use more than a tiny portion of their kit.

It is the same situation with Yuumi. Less than half of her kit can be used safely. You wanna beat healbot Yuumi? Just go all in. Your side of the lane has 2 champions and theirs has 1.4. You will win that fight every time unless you are bad.
