Riot: "Ezreal Runeglaive is a problem with his insane power, so we're going to buff runeglaive."
LOL Riot thinking at its best!

The change, as it relates to Ezreal, wasn't about its base damage / AD ratio (which were buffed) but rather it was the fact that Ezreal could use it with his Q to inflict not only the usual On-Hit effects, but also Spell Effects, meaning Ezreal's Q with Runeglaive would proc Luden's Echo.
"...our intended goal with Luden's Echo was that its power was specifically accessible by spell casts (or specific items treated as spell casts, like Gunblade). Ezreal Q toes that line, but it's fundamentally treated as a basic attack (also for triggering on-hit effects), which is why things got a little fuzzy.
BUGFIX : Fixed a bug where Runeglaive was applying spell effects (e.g. Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Liandry's Torment, Luden's Echo)
Context is everything.

... while buffing runeglaive LOL Obvious ezreal player is happy.
They changed RG in a way that made it still viable on AP Ezreal but removing its abuse cases, specifically by removing how it procs spell effects. Then they buffed the stats of the item, because the stats were not the problem. Thus still making it a decent item without it being oppressive on a few Champions.
Your entire thread is simply misdirected. I'm not entirely sure you understand why you're mad.
As Kouga said, Runeglaive proc'd Luden's Echo, now it won't. That's why it was so strong on AP Ez. Buffing it keeps AP Ez somewhat viable while still weakening him a bit. I think it's a good change. I think it's great that Runeglaive made AP Ez viable, even if I don't play Ez. Just make sure it's not completely broken and I'm happy.
Without the proc, I don't think it makes AP Ez any more, or less, viable than it did before. Lich Bane gave him about the same effect in terms of the damage, but the two key details for Runeglaive were the proc change, and the fact that RG's damage is converted to pure magic damage. The proc change, I think, was actually a neat interaction. I'm kind of sad they changed it.
But in terms of AP Ezreal:
LB .75 AD .5 AP
RG 1.0 AD .3 AP
For AP Ezreal, the .2 AP difference offsets the .25 AD loss if he just gets LB. Not to mention LB gives him 30 more AP and MS on top of it. However I also wish that LB converted the damage to magic. Maybe down the road they can change that.
The thing about RG is that it also gives you the ranger's smite and AoE damage, and that's actually a pretty big deal since AP Ez's biggest weakness is wave clear. Sure, LB will be better in terms of damage now, but I can still see RG being built because of the AoE smite.
They buffed it because the item still was decent for it's targeted group,AP junglers.
I also get upset when I am unable to dodge skillshots and thus avoid needless damage from Runeglaive Ezreal.
Riot should nerf Runeglaive because i can't dodge his skillshots, Kappa.
