Heimer and Teemo Should Be Disabled in Nexus Siege

If you're defending against them, they just need a item 3631 and it's GG since you're not getting past their turrets and shrooms to touch them.

If you're attacking, they can just build these around their nexus and you aren't getting past that either.

i played heimer in that mode.

when it was our turn to defend, i started sieging their teleport pad with my turrets at one point.

the obliterator basically fired nonstop.

and people are banning kat. like what the fuck? she isnt even a good champion to siege or defend with.

no, thats the beam of ruination or whatever, that is a siege weapon you control, the obliterator is when the defending team gets 15 minions into the enemy zone, it clears all the minions

The red lazer that covers the whole lane is the Obliterator.

It doesn't just clear minions, it instantly kills everything in the lane.

The ruination beam is a thin line skillshot with 3 charges that chunks champions but deals peanut damage to creeps.

I always beg for my team to ban them, heim is by far one of the most UNfun champs in this mode, and in this game. I can deal with a teemo, but dealing with heim is like trying to slowly rip off my finger nails one by one.

I've played nexus siege twice and in both games against a heimer. I've beat heimer in both of those matches with some trouble. To be completely honest, heimer wasn't as much trouble as I expected him to be. But I did attack him with an ally so maybe he is troublesome but then again, he did basic heimer things. I played vlad and Gangplank so it wasn't too much trouble getting past his turrets. I still haven't played against teemo though, sounds like hell. I do like the idea of Heimer and teemo getting disabled though

Heimerdinger is hard countered by any form of waveclear (and I mean ANY form. Even Aatrox has enough to deal with him), so getting past turrets shouldn't be a problem at all. As much as I love the guy, our resident Donger is only a threat if you make a mistake. Without his turrets (which are squishier than minions), he is utter shit tier.

Teemo is still Teemo. The shrooms are more of a problem than normal due to item 3364 not being available, but then again it's not like you will be running through the jungle a whole lot in this mode. When on offense, make sure you outnumber Teemo, by any means necessary. If that means a 1-3-1 lane setup, so be it. Send people with tons of waveclear to the other lanes, so the obliterator doesn't fire. Sharing XP and gold isn't a concern, so it works fine if the other lanes can manage. If the shrooms are your main concern, just buy a pink ward. Those still exist in this mode.

If the Heimer is good, he knows to seperate his turrets so that they can support each other yet not be susceptible to waveclear. It's just that most people don't put any dedication into learning him because he's so easy.

Spacing turrets is basic.

It doesn't matter, though.

As long as a champion can take out turrets faster than he can place them (which is not remotely hard for the vast majority of the roster), he will quickly run out, and he becomes completely worthless.

There is a REASON why Heimer sees no competitive play.

His ult rockets and ult grenade are actually very powerful tools.

Bârd1 votes

Of course. Those are ultimates.

Unfortunately, those are full of problems too.

Yes, the ult rockets chunk (and can even instantly kill, in some situations), but the combination of a small hitbox and obvious animation makes it unlikely that Heimer will ever land this, so long as the enemy knows how to sidestep.

The ult grenade is powerful, yes, but upon closer inspection it has quite a few shortcomings. The damage is only increased by 30 compared to the regular grenade, and the stun duration is unchanged. While the AOE is made quite a bit larger, the projectile speed is still slow enough that dodging the stun is not exactly difficult. In most cases, this ends up being an 80% slow on most of the enemy team, maybe stunning the enemy tank (since the third bounce is the only one that will be in range of the enemy ADC if they position correctly, they have quite a bit of time to react to the grenade).

I LIKE Heimerdinger. I want him to be good, very much so, but alas, it is not the case.

Darkslayer851 votes

I agree with this, but I'd just like to point out heimer can move while ult rocketing. Kinda like an entire lucian ultimate in 1 seconds.

Bârd1 votes

Indeed he can, but as they are fired over a period of ~1 second, he can't exactly cover a lot of ground in that time by just walking.

Using things like Flash, Protobelt, Thresh Lantern, or a Bard Tunnel to reposition partway through the cast will work in theory, but will in all likelihood result in a missed barrage (though the combination of a Rocket Barrage and Magical journey is VERY fun to watch).

You forgot Zyra, she's exactly like Heimer.
