Worst things to run into than a stealth poison from Singed

  1. Nunu Ult
  2. Sion Q Stun
  3. Garen

Skills being invis like that has generally always been in the game. I dunno why it is that certain channeled skills and toggle skills in get to stay stealthed, but you sort of learn to adapt.

DeathBurst2 votes

For Sion and Nunu, it's because that's one of their rare opportunities to make a big play. Stuf like Xerath, on the other hand, they probably shouldn't stay in the bush and wait for the enemy there, because even with the surprise on their side, they are still super squishy.

I don't remember the full list right now, but I bet most of the "invisible channels" are on Tanks and Frontliners.

My Waifu Vanilla2 votes

Ekko Trail is arguably worse than most of those in the obnoxious department since if you don't notice you moving at 0.1 m/s and the big SLOWED on your screen you should die and Sion cannot typically kill you even if he bush Q's you.

That's because the effects are tied to the Champion. Garens spin is part of his model, Nunus ult is part of his model, Singeds' poison is part of his model. When his model is stealthed by the brush, all of it is stealthed. Including those parts.

InsanitysTheName2 votes

Garen's spin is his model, Nunu and Singed are both VFX. They can choose which VFX get stealthed as evidenced by Arelion Sol's stars. In Singed's case, the gameplay designers believe that his poison should be stealthed while he is in brush.

I think that if they would get rid of singed's "invisible" power, singed could get compensated elsewhere. Personally, I'm a bad singed player, but I still feel he is weak.

Singed is the kind of pick when you feel like being annoying but he can't really do much beyond that unless if the enemy team is kind of enough to give you a hilariously extended team fight.

Spoofghoul3 votes

no singed is the kind of pick you take when the opponent grabs

Jax Irelia Tryndamere MasterYi or any other such braindead rightclick melee champion

as you pretty much hardcounter all of them they cant farm into you they cant run after you

you put them behind so hard they become usless till minute 60

lategame you use ghost + righteous glory or any other movespeed booster fi you have any and just flipt their carry in your team and win

I destroy Singed with all 4 champs you just named, was that sarcasm?

Singed runs from one bush to another "They'll never know..." poison trail left behind from going into another bush vanishes magically Riven walks through invisible poison cloud R: "WTF SINGED" S: "Hehe, git spooked"

Best Foxx NA5 votes

You forgot Cho Q, Warwick, Rengar, Evelynn, Jhin, Teemo, or Shaco (also called Jungle Satan). These are horrible things to walk in on.

Velzard of Koz16 votes

Meanwhile Aurelion's stars can't stealth coz thats just too OP.

Ace Access 3 votes

agreed, others get to do this yet he can't ?

Raxicor1 votes

They talked a little bit about that when Sol came out. I guess at the time they were thinking about changing how bush mechanics work where all attacks(nunu ult, sion Q, etc) from the bush are visible. Dunno if they are still on board with that or not.

maikokk1 votes

it happens to any skill that is "ground targeted" and delayed in cast or persistent.

IE cho's knockup is hidden until it lands as its a ground targeted delay mechanic, but lux E and gragus Q are projectiles until they land and not hidden. chos silence is instantly cast thus not hidden. rule applies to every instance.

singed is an edge case that takes people by surprise because there are no skills like it, but it kinda sorta follows the rule if you add the word persistent in there :P

TWITCHTV ERONATE1 votes

Garen's most outplay potential consists of going into a bush and waiting for someone

Battlecast Sona1 votes

I think the specific problem with Singed poison is that he can place it and it doesn't (necessarily) have any immediately noticeable effect on your character model. The poison animation is small in comparison to the big poison cloud, and if he doesn't have rylai's/liandry's... Meanwhile in Nunu ult you get slowed which is pretty obvious if you're actually looking at your character model.

Ralanr15 votes

Wait, it stealthes in a bush?

Why is that a thing? I get that real life poisonous gas can be invisible to the naked eye, but his gas trail is what indicates where not to follow. If it's invisible...then well fml.

underscores2227 votes

You only see Singed's poison trail if you can see him. If he walks into a bush or the fog of war, you can't see the trail either. But you can keep walking in it and taking damage. It was one of those strange interactions with vision that's been around forever and fixing it would ruin the champion in one way or another.

dumbest thing ever: chasing low health singed.. disengages because of poison... singed goes into bush and i unwittingly walk straight back through his trail and die

So you're saying he is allowed to attack and just run away without retaliation?

Quort2 votes

He's just referencing a popular rule of League: "Don't chase Singed." :p

I mean, you can turn it off.. And Aurelion Sols passive doesn't stealth when he's in a bush AurelionSol

Jari2 votes

If he's in the bush with it on, what's in the bush can be invisible. Be my guest.

But if he can just run into a bush and it completely poofs away, it's more difficult, because it's harder to tell what parts are gone and what parts still linger.

SkyBlade794 votes

Singed is already weak enough as it is.

CaptnJakSparrow4 votes

I can tell 90% of you weren't here for season 3 lol.

Back then.Every ability in the game was invisible if used from FoW.

That includes Ashe arrows, Morgana snares, Blitzcrank Qs. Etc.

And if your champion had a gap closer, they'd go invisible for like a full second if used from the bush. Half the time Akali could kill you from bush before she appeared on your screen. Fun times. Fun times.

Well at least you could buy a green ward back then. I cri

item 3363 they're free and do the same thing.

I'd rather not go back to the time of "stfu last pick support and go buy more wards." I got tired of watching adcs that didn't even know how to attack move try to boss me around and telling me I could only buy boots of mobility and wards.

Darkslayer853 votes

2 minute CD, you serious? He trades a lot more often than every two minutes.

Nidalee 's spears have to be mentioned here. Those were the best times of being nearly 100% assassinated as a squishy in one spear from AP Nid and her invisible spears.

Hellen Keller3 votes

You have a decent point, but are Singed nerfs really a good idea right now?

Punkkee2 votes

Nerfs and bugfixes are two different things and unintended affects

Hellen Keller5 votes

True but a lot of Singed players would use that to their advantage, removing that gives them one less thing to use in a fight - something they [singed players] are already very short on. Whether it should be removed or not isn't up to me, but removing it would impact Singed negatively.

Blåbæret2 votes

It's intended. Same with Zyra plants not spawning when she's in a bush. Singed, while an annoying champ, doesn't need any nerfs. Suck it up or ban him.

There's a lot of things that need fixing in this and Singed isn't one of them.

AlienPrimate3 votes

I think a big reason this has always been a thing is that if a severely low health Singed runs into the jungle to get away from an enemy, the enemy would be able to see where he goes and simply follow the trail to find him. The poison is what makes Singed feel safe about not being chased and if he has to turn it off so people can't see where he goes his whole purpose is thrown out the window.

Punching Top1 votes

No..? I mean, Singed would activate his Q only if he tried to kill that one who is chasing him . So if Singed tries to escape and not get followed, why would he activate his Q? It's a toggle ability, not like Ekko's ultimate clone.

morris12 votes

To prevent the enemy from chasing further? If Singed has 400 movement speed and his enemy has 410 Singed should be able to shred his enemy's health by the time he catches up and prevent him from fighting; If Singed has Rylai's you also always leave it active.

Punching Top1 votes

It seems like you didn't get my point. AlienPrimate said that Signed cannot escape because the enemies can follow his trail. I said that if he wants to escape and not get followed, there is no point of turning Q on.

morris13 votes

The poison itself is a zone control and most enemies will avoid going in it altogether because they'll just lose health for nothing (and get slowed if he has Rylai). It's either they follow him through the poison and risk dying or they don't. Turning it off is pretty useless since the enemies will just continue to chase him.

Weasel Kensei3 votes

When typing a work and using a letter in the word multiple times, its generally to have the reader "drag out" the sound of that/those letters.

Example:

Ellen says to her son "Take out the trash right now Jimmy." Jimmy responds to his mother with a sullen look and spouts "But mmmmom, the shows almost over!"

Its fairly common, if youre going to use this technique, to sound out the dragging out of syllables. A "K" sound isnt something you drag out. Just FYI.

If one were to try to drag out a "K" sound in a word, it would sound really odd.

"thankkkkkssssssss"

Would be like "than(garbage disposal sounds)sssssss"

Hope this helped.

How about u buy a damn ward?

Darkslayer852 votes

You've clearly misunderstood the situation.

Plus, I'm not dropping a pink into that bush, I have a better place for it. And i need my trinket to guard the rivers since green wards promoted unhealthy gameplay apparently.

Fishlord2 votes

It would be cool if the bushes would start to decompose when he went through them.

RogueWill1 votes

well that's easy to fix, stop chasing singed....

Darkslayer852 votes

So he's allowed to harrass me in lane, but I can't even trade because he's gonna run into a top bush? Makes sense.

I mean if you are a brusier you have plenty of time to return damage for the trade, if you are an AA based champion then you pretty much have to take the free harrass since you can't really chase him since it will probably end up giving more damage to you.

Seconly if you see he go into the bush you might want to stop facechecking it? You saw the trial before he went into the bush so you shoudl be avoiding it by now, if it suddenly go invisible doesn't mean you should stop avoiding it

Darkslayer852 votes

Yeah but it's hard to tell where his poison his sometimes.

This is a QoL change.
