Why doesn't Riot have a seperate Worlds patch?

I know your first thought might be "but this patch and next are the worlds patch silly", but that's not what I mean. I mean having a private patch with small altercations for only the Pro-play teams to play on.

The patch would most likely have small tweaks to champions who have a large impact in competitive team play, but don't really apply to SoloQ. You could even develop the patch ahead of time giving the pro players time in advance to adapt to the game changes so that they aren't caught by surprise.

It's often that champions like Lissandra and Malphite get nerfs because of their amazing team play, but the nerfs aren't as justified for SoloQ or the rest of the game.

Thoughts?

Because that's more extra work than they need?

and it's extra work that should be done to guarantee competitive integrity.

How?

You'd end up making an entire separate environment for LCS, where you only balance around their level. Meanwhile the original one doesn't need to be balanced around high level, so they go lower, which makes the gap between pros and high level players even more massive and weakens the skill of new LCS players because they've been playing with completely different balanced champions until then.

Having a separate server would just be pointless imo.

They already have a special server for competitive play, though. So, it wouldn't be too much extra work to treat it separately from the live servers.

It would have absolutely 0 to do with competitive integrity...

It would be impossible for pros to practice.

They can practice on tournament realm.

I meant that they would have access ahead of time, but I guess it would be hard since they also practice SoloQ along with skrims, so they couldn't practice outside of customs.

It wouldn't allow the Pro Player to practice on current patches or whatever

They have the tournament-dedicated server.

They have the tournament-dedicated server.

So then every player trying to climb and get drafted has to put up with relearning the meta if they make a team.

What about teams trying to make the tournament, or that get relegated?

Ya but everybody has that game where they do so good they feel like a pro lol. I mean it always seems to work out in the end. Also Malphite got buffed.

Malphite got buffed because they also buffed champs like Jayce, Vayne, Ezreal, and Draven :P

Nerfs fair. Moreover Liss nerf isn't enough.

They want the rest of the players to be playing the same game as the pros. We will be a patchor two ahead, but with only small changes so it would basically still be the same balancewise. It also saves the pros from having to grind YET ANOTHER different patch and metagame analysis.

Because they want stupid morons watching the LCS to see the pros play and think "hey we play the same game maybe I can do that".

If the LCS and the real game had different servers there would be a disconnect and Rito would make less money, even though this would be healthier for the game as a whole.
