Dear Riot, i am a pissed Aurelion Sol main.

Hi, Some thing doesn't make sense to me. Aurelion Sol's passive, is a constant "ability", and it does get shut down by hard cc like silence, stun or a supression. Viktor's ultimate deactivates channeled abilities on the first hit, and honestly, it is one of the few things that makes Viktor such a good and neat champion. but isn't it abit ridiculous who it works and works not against? Just an example, Aurelion Sol's passive does get "disabled and then re-abled because it is constant, but when his W is active, his W gets put on cooldown. I have always looked at Aurelion Sol's W as a "toggle" ability and not a channel, and it doesn't really make sense when the W gets put on the cooldown as well as the passive being deactivated.

Regardless. i have found my own ways to cope with it, and tried to "make peace" with the issue unntil one game I PLAYED as Viktor I was up against a Lucian, and when he ulted me, and i ulted him back, it simply didn't stop his ult kept at it. Idk, Lucian's ultimate does not count as a channeled ability? then why the hell does it get stopped by Silence and stuns?

Some clarity would be appreciated If you want my opinion, Viktor's kit is absolutely insanely good. I don't find him overloaded like Azir or Orianna, but his dmg combined with his niche things makes other champions like Aurelion Sol less of a threat. Honestly, my problem isn't Aurelion should be strong against all champions, one of the most notorious and best counter picks is Kassadin, and he has the same feature in his Q. But when you have a champion like Viktor who has multiple build paths with strong dmg in all of them in comparison to the rest of the midlaners out there, then, wtf?

I am starting a poll too see if people agree in any way, This might be a bit biased poll to begin with, and you could say I would rather just have a buff on Aurelion which could ignore this feature in terms of toggling. Of course, this would not be a problem at all if the 2 second nerf to his W went through, which was in my opinion a pretty extreme nerf in terms of his playstyle. He is even worse vs close ranged champions and even longrange because it requires to much thought how long you must have your W up. And it doesn't feel rewarding to keep fighting after fighting with aurelion and chasing people. You just have to pray you are super fast and catch them before you run out of mana, and the term of "I will activate my W in the last second" is risky because there are counterplay methods too it.

In terms of Viktor, I don't see that he really needs a nerf. Sure he is god tier or top 2 midlane right now, but other champions could just use a buff to get back to become relavent. There is a crazy amount of things to think about when giving changes to champions in the game, but midlane Viktor needs dmg to go through, and the player rewards Viktor players who both build the correct build and play with it to win. The waveclear with his E is also one of his signature things of his along with his similar playstyle to a "burstier adc" in some cases.
