Azir bug (Flawless WEQ execution too no avail)

Under the game Fnatic vs Sk telecom at MSI where Faker played Azir there was a bug which was never noted by the casters. At 23 minutes in at game 3 (23:35 - 23:38 to be exact(40:15 into the video)) You have some of the most excruciating bugs in the game as Azir. This is the MAIN reason why the WEQ combo is RISKY because its UNRELIABLE because of the bug(s).

If you want to experiment, i suppose you head to lolking and check out one of the final sections of my guide (guide name: Shurima, is eternal), its fairly old, but the trick: "imperial escape" is a move where only the WEQ to make it possible to pass over the obstacles in which wouldn't be possible if you would do the simple WQE, even then, sometimes it doesn't even have to be that. Smaller walls can still screw you over.

Also, please stop introducing new bugs aswell. In the latest patch, a new bug got introduced, and that bug will randomly make the soldier constantly AA in the air, which is probably related to where you last attacked, meaning if you attacked a minion it will attack in that direction, if that minion moves and you have not issued an attack command the soldier will keep "visibly attacking the minion" for no dmg. This bug is a lot more annoying than the Laser turret bug. Which is actually the midlest bug of them all. I actually felt quite dissapointed that a match had to be paused for 5 minutes because of it.

There is also the max-range no dmg auto attack bug which is when you just enter the AA range with Azir with sand soldier and the animation goes fully off but 0 dmg comes off. This one has existed since RELEASE just like the WEQ.

But please, for the sake of pro azir play Fix the WEQ combo bug first. Thank you. IF you can fix them all that would be better, but this takes absolute first priority.

For more insight about the WEQ bug

  • The character model (azir) spazzes out, like makes "spammy" movements, not sure how to describe it.
  • In some cases and in some specific cases over some obstacles, azir will appear to have traveled with the soldier, but the soldier is on the other side of the wall and Azir is not. For instance, when Azir tries the combo, the soldier comes up, Azir E's to soldier, he then Q's OVER the wall, Azir then follows the wall and now either option comes up.
  1. Either Azir stops INSIDE the wall, wheras the soldier is still clearly on the other side of the wall. Azir then gets spazzed out to the side he came from (right next to the wall)
  2. Azir stops on the other side of the wall but gets somehow "teleported back to the other side of the wall. even thought you can fit "one" teemo between The wall and the soldier, so there is a good amount of space.

I am no tech expert, but a good place where to "fix" would be to see where you draw the line between either WEQ Alternative 1. You use your W, use E, and if you are "slow enough" or time it that way, then you will just get to the W point and not the Q location of the soldier. WEQ Alternative 2. Also dubbed "Imperial escape" in my guide. Where you end up at the Q location, and the better you time it, the more distance you can cover, Both Alternatives doesn't neccesarily require you to W first and then do it in order, you can already do it with a soldier that already exists on the battlefield. Point is, that the problem lies BETWEEN these two alternatives, excluding that the walls are another part of the bug, the general concept is that the character doesn't spazz out if it hits the "mid point" of this timing.

Althought, there is one factor that i have to mention. And that is that soldier can actually be inside walls too. Im not sure if you have ever seen it, but let me give you an example, since this has mainly only happened to me using the W on a wall. You have midlane. at either side, you have the midlane brushes, at the bluebuff brush, which is right above the pixelbrush but has a connection to a wall which has a connection to the midlane brush. If you put a soldier, like W the wall and its not in range of the brush, the soldier will spawn inside the wall, and whats ironic is that in some cases it gave vision.

If I have came to the wrong place then please redirect me to somewhere else. I hope you have a wonderful day.

its not a bug, just poor timing, if you move the soldier too early you aren't close enough to the wall to get over it, too late and only the soldier will go over, the weirdest thing about azir is that his soldiers don't cast on the cursor if you click while out of range, they just spawn at the beginning of the range indicator

I see no bugs he just q right before he reaches his soldier and since q has a higher speed than e its considered normal to be able to do this combo...

Took a couple of watches to see the "bug". Then I watched it slowed down by a lot. Azir all-but-reaches the soldier. When he checks to see if he has space to move through the wall he doesn't. Just a failed wall jump.
