Is it just me, or is Neeko's kit kind of half baked?
In my opinion, Neeko only has two well designed abilities, those being Inherent Glamour and Shapesplitter.
That's not to say they're perfect (they're buggy as all hell), but at least the concept is solid.
Everything else just feels like they didn't have any ideas.
Q: Blooming Burst
There are a lot of interesting things you could have done with this spell if you had just developed it a little further.
- Have the last bloom deal bonus damage instead of the first, making it less of a cheap poke spell and more of a thing that rewards you for landing and following up on crowd control.
- Have all of the blooms deal the same damage, but have it persist on the ground regardless of whether it hits, making it a potent area denial spell.
- Have the blooms apply some sort of disable, either a stacking slow on all the blooms or a lengthy silence on the third bloom.
Maybe none of those were the right way to go, but the spell needs something.
As things stand, it's just a cheap nuke that comes out too quickly to dodge the first bloom
E: Tangle Barbs
As a Bard main, this makes me angry.
I need to skim the edge of a single creep out of the wave, without touching any of the others, at the right angle to hit the enemy laner. If I succeed, my reward is a 1-1.8 second stun. Cool.
Meanwhile, Neeko just throws it through the creep wave and gets a 1.8-3 second root as a reward for doing something much easier. Excuse me?
Rant aside, the spell is just uninspired.
R: Pop Blossom
- The leap feels clunky.
- The numbers are way out of whack.
- Why is this a stun? Are you trying to buff Amumu by making him cry?
- Why does it need to shield Neeko when it already does hard CC and tons of damage?

COUGHCOUGH, so I definitely welcome simple kits back to the game.
Neeko's kit functions well with the core aspect of her kit, her shapeshifting, and it needed to be a simple kit to prevent her from going off the chain and being stupidly broken or complicated. Like, you don't have to make kits Rube Goldberg machines when they're focused around a specific trick, a simple kit can do the job perfectly.
and all that. You have meep slows and can proc it on walls.
