I can't wait for NURF!

I mean, look at it! Look how brilliant it is!

Think about it: nobody likes fast pace action in a MOBA game: strategy is what we've wanted for such a long time. Everyone who reads the forums often sees posts like "LoL is becoming a reflex game!" and other things. Well, there you have it!

Now, i'll be able to play strategic champions in a strategic manner, to out-stratagise my enemies!

This is why Bard was released! Teamfights will take to long, his chimes will have all the time to grow, turning you into a commander, one who dictates fights! Bard will be amazing in this gamemode, i feel it. It'll be like chess: ping your king to take the hp, get your tower to protect the king, while the queen is fighting wildly!

Alistar will be amazing: headbutting enemies into turret range and they'll be so slow they'll never make it out in time! Strategy!

Mordekaiser! I dunno, i just like the champ.

Heimerdinger! Positionning! Strategy! Turrets!

I applaud this gamemode. Thank you: i feel the adrenaline rushes coming already.

Neither can I! As a new Rioter, I was super excited when I started and found out New URF was in development. My Dad and I are pretty close and share similar interests, but one thing we have not been able to do is play League together because it's too fast for him -- he does enjoy watching LCS with me, but that's even hard for him to do because he struggles to keep up with what's going on. I'm thinking that this could actually get him to play a game with me finally.

Wow! See, NURF will bring families together! How is this bad?

I think what matters in life is family. This is an example of Riot caring about us and wanting us to be closer to those that really matter: our family. I'm glad to see it happen that way. The regular game is too intense for people to even think about their loved ones! Has anyone ever felt the despair of when your mother asks you to pause the game and help her out? The game is now always on pause! This is what really matters.

This gamemode will help differenciate the good families from the great families by implimenting slower, more tactical gameplay. No more rage, everyone will take their time, go get a cup of tea, and enjoy life.

I'm so happy to see it happen.

Exactly I just got done with a Civ 5 game myself and after about 3 hours the game was about half way over and I just couldn't help but think I wish I had something that wasn't so quickly paced to play. Thank goodness? More like thank greatness if you ask me!

Not going to lie I'm actually kind of morbidly curious enough to hope this is an actual, legitimate, honest to goodness game mode for a day.

Like it could be like pulling teeth, but at the same time... y'know?

Me too. I'm going to try out some ideas I have for champs and builds that I think will actually do well (better than others at least) and see if I can record those games. If nothing, it will be like an in-depth archive of the rarest mode in League's history. Rare, that is if it goes away after one day like the buzz is saying.

you know. if you REALLY think about it. this will teach lower elo players how to play the game. the low elo players can now focus on high priority targets instead of "low health bars." and by low health bars i mean an alistar with 900hp left with his ult on. but it looks really low because he has 5000hp. meanwhile jinx irelia vi and ahri are tearing a new hole in them.

We DO want a slower, more strategic game though! Why, just the other day I couldn't start a game because I had to make dinner; now I could make dinner AND play the game, and even have time for dessert!

Ever ran out of a mixed drink and/or beer in the middle of a long game, and felt that urge to go in the kitchen and mix another? Well, worry no more! NURF allows you to make more mixed drinks, or grab another beer, so if things aren't going your way and it's a long, painful descent to defeat, now you can at least drink more than one drink during it!

We should get together and come up with a NURF drinking game for the community. This could show them how to take those lemons and make lemonade.

Holy nuts: the more i think about it, the more i want a Snail tank. It would probably be really fun to play, like a Singed, but instead of poison, it'll be a slow! Singed item 3116 See? NURF gives us the best champion designs!

My blood is legitimately boiling with excitement BREATHES IN HEAVILY i can play all the champs i want and play them however i want getting high detail and good info learning all the little things in the game most take for granted like ideal damage scenarios and synergy and takes out inhaler; puffs loudly do all the things ive wanted to forever now!!!!! :D Plus {{summoner:2}} is a gimme since it saves you so much time. :) :D :>

I remember once when ARAM was a popular custom game (and wasn't an official game mode), I made my own room called All Tiamat All Mid (tiamat used to stack and was for ranged and melee). I said no one could buy boots so we all moved really slow and everyone complained the whole time. I thought it would be a fun concept (and still think so) but finding people to join that room took forever. Maybe NURF will give me a chance to relive that slow paced playstyle. It should be interesting.

As a side note, I wish people weren't so quick to complain, the game mode hasn't even been released yet! I'm also looking forward to this game mode.

Are you kidding?! who in the right mind wants to move like a SNAIL??! Have ONE ability consume 100% of their mana/energy??? games will last literally a good hour before anything "serious" happens. At least Original URF IS FUN to spam spells with whatever champion you want! With this crap how is anyone going to be able to try the new champions (Azir, Kalista, Reksai, Gnar, Braum, Bard!?)?? I dont know who told you it was toxic, because if anything, this slow version will just make people more toxic.

You see, NURF will teach us the art of good manners. Patience. Intelligent decision making. An hour into a game, you will understand that other things are more important: since the game is so slow, you will be able to focus on other things, like homework!

Spamming is a mindless activity. Real gentlemens take their time, aim carefully and strike right at the heart of the beast! Ask Cho'Gath: a slow, methodical champion, that takes his time to become one of the biggest threat! Is he balanced? Of bloody course he is, he's a strategic champion!

Also, snails are one of the most fascinating living creatures on this earth: i would pay to play as one! Riot, we need a snail champion! Preferably a tank, since it's the most strategic class!

Yes, what they don't realize is that wards and blue trinket will be OP when combined with AOE long ults. How many times have you missed your Ziggs ult because someone else spammed spells and got the kill first? No more! How many times have players ran out of your Ziggs ult? Not in NURF. Get a Karthus on there, AP Ashe, Jinx, Lux, etc and that group fight will be wiped out in no time! If everyone rushes Ohmwrecker to get up to turret, boom, it's gone. These people just want things handed to them, with no thought or strategy. And while those spells are on CD, you could be multitasking other things, like catching up on the next season of Trailer Park Boys. It's so efficient. I just don't understand them.

Spamming spells or spamming forums? I agree NURF will teach us some good manners like not beating a dead horse for another 10 months. How about we tend to more important things like brainstorming fun skin ideas or trying to identify Taric's personality.

WE GET IT. URF WAS FUN.

NURF's like sending your kid up to their room for being a nuisance at a party. And in this instance, we totally deserve it.

Yeah, you'd think they were joking after what they said about URF last year, but it's surprisingly true. This gamemode will focus more on strategy (everything from rotations and cheeky plays) than just grouping and murdering everything. Sadly, I can already tell it's going to be broken as all hell (burst mages who can 100-0 people suffer the least from the nurfs, for example), but that is kinda fun in its own way. I'm looking forward to trying out people with skillshots that go through minions Zyra Zilean Leona Ahri

Honestly, people will love this mode. Remember when the game was first released? Everyone said "ohh it's a pokemon rip off" and look at League of Legends today!

NURF is supposed to be an April's Fools mode. Not a serious strategic mode. That's why everybody loved URF because it was crazy and fun. NURF is meh. Nobody is interested but a couple of people and probably Riot employees.

Have you played NURF yet? It's easily the best game mode ever created. I've played it on the PBE and it is 100x better than silly URF. It gives the game a lot more strategic depth! Plus, I can finally cook while playing League. I can get my rice done before I even get to my tower. Riot is putting family first with NURF!
