A support is meant to SUPPORT not burst multiple people with 1 combo.
Add a passive to support items that reduces damage or make it so supports cant build certain items.
This mid laner support bull shit is stupid.
It is to the point that tank junglers are a troll pick now.

Brand is annoying if he's good at landing his abilities. If you are able to dodge them he will just die.
The only real problems are Brand and Zyra due to their artificially high base stats because they're not up to snuff to actually survive in mid lane.
Riot has addressed complaints about support being a boring unimpactful role so they made them a role capable of carrying harder than the adc that they are supposedly supporting.
Very good balancing philosophy.
