To be honest. Im not quite feeling the new diana changes

Tried her out in a game. And it honestly feels lack luster. The non consistent attack speed makes her feel weaker than before. Trading doesn't seem all that different, other than the fact you have to pace your skills. Which for Diana, doesn't really help too much. I don't know, maybe its just me. Also I rather not max my e just to get more attack speed XD

I tried her in the jungle.

Its so much better to jungle with her now as long as you time your abilities apart to get the passive as much as you can.

Mid lane on the other hand.... she doesn't really get much mana back from her passive for all the poke she recieves going for it, and the attack speed doesn't do much for her.

Maybe I have to use her for just that. Her laning potiental just doesn't seem there anymore.

I have been playing her from release and she feels extremely clunky now with the new passive.

Overall burst and sustain damage has gone way down.

I didn't see how the would help on paper at all.

She doesn't skirmish in and out like Ekko.

Diana is ride or die and these changes helped mana and hurt waveclear.

Agreed, tried trading with my laner, but lost every trade cause after 3 autos, I couldn't keep up with them anymore, and if I ran, they would just chase me down and keep hitting. I prefer going burst, but our teamcomp was too squishy.

Dude, that is cray cray talk. I played like 8 matches with her yesterday, and I LOVE the changes. At low level it's not great, but at higher levels it's crazy. With Diana's low cooldown skills, it felt like she had a permanent AS buff. And with E now having a passive AS increase, I was shredding people with my AAs. If there is something worth looking at, I think it's the fact that Diana might actually be dealing more damage via AA than her actual skills. Not that it is necessarily a bad thing, but more of a "what is her intended design?"

Then you have to tell me your secret, cause I had trouble using her. I don't normally buffer my skills, I usually just go for the full rotation, and after those 3 autos, It was painful waiting for my skills to come back up, as to compared to before where it was just consistent

Yeah you have to buffer your skills, just not that much. I used to QWR all the time. Now, I try to QR, get 2-3 AA then W, 2-3 AA, rinse and repeat. Also, try not to use your E. Unless I am wrong, AND PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM, but if you use your E you lose the passive effect. In which case, I have not been using my E so as to have that passive on all the time.

Furthermore, the first item I build is Nashors, and I think that is objectively the first item you should build unless you are jungling. I also build the AS boots instead of magic pen because that extra AS means more mp thus more skill spam, and less wait time between skills since you get your 3 autos in quicker.

Also, keep in mind what I said that she is still very weak at low levels. lv 1 and 2 she still doesnt have her e passive, and pre 6 you dont have ult. I think diana becomes really deadly after you build nashors and the as boots. for my third item i either build gunblade or lich bane, unless i need some defense in which case I build banshees or zhonyas. Both of those items are great imo because one gives you LS which gives you more room to buffer your skills for AA, the other gives you CDR and stronger AA. 90% of the time my build is [Nashors, AS boots, gunblade, lich bane, zhonyas or banshees, rabadons].

Does that help? Give it a try and let me know if it helps.

you don't loose your passive from E. Also when you wait to use your W ( coming from my own Diana experience over the years ), people who know how to play against it will burst you down during that window. So when you trade, I always felt it best not to give them that window of opportunity. My combo over the years has always been Q, R W,

But other than that, everything you stated was exactly what I was doing before the patch. Perhaps I'm more used to it, so I noticed the changes more, but after the changes, the playstyle changes too drastically for me to play her comfortable anymore.

Nashors has always been a core item on Diana as well as attack speed runes. Combing both allowed you to reach 1.64 attack speed even before 6. Combine this with burst allowed for a lot of power. But the strong point of it was that you didn't have to rely on it. Now this build forces you to build into it for the same comfort.

In every Diana game, I change my build path based on the enemy, but I always had a reliable way to trade them, due to her passive. With this new changes, I find myself only relying on my Q, because if I go in on a kassiden, after 3 autos I have to back off, and he can trade more consistently against Diana ( I know its a counter but its the same for a lot of champions ). Riven, akali, katarina. Champs Diana had no problem with recently know becomes a bit harder to deal with. Its not the end of the world, but it makes me not view these changes in a positive light. Just my 2 cents though
