Fiora... just.... no....
Starting with: INTRODUCTION
I never really liked fighting Fiora... Never really played her either... But she is a fighter, and there's something I can say in her defense. Why give a heal from her ulti? She's a top lane fighter, not a bot lane support. I understand the new passive, it gives a new mechanic to work on. I can understand the slight apparent changes to her q, w, and e.
Next we have: ABILITY BREAKDOWN
It's nicer to have q not have 100% blow you up rate, and w to parry more in a shorter time to deal damage. I'm even okay with with the concepts of her getting attack speed on only 2 attacks from her e, regardless if the first has a 0% crit chance, and the second has a 100%. I'm personally okay with these changes because it doesn't feel completely different from her original kit, just slightly different. What I'm not okay with is her new ulti, artwork, and the complaints of everyone on the boards. Her ulti gives her a short time to go completely around her target and hit them 4 times. What's destined to happen? CC hell for her, or flash escapes resulting in a wasted ulti. Say it goes off. A large healing area? Like..... Janna ulti? Okay, so you take away sustain passive, and you have to give it back somewhere, but the ulti is really not the place to give it back. Put a passive on e or something that lets her heal, not her ulti for an aoe one.
Moving along: ARTWORK
I liked the way Fiora looked, I really did. It was nice to see an attractive person come to kill you from time to time. The new artwork though is terrible! I feel the in-game art of her is a downgrade back to when Summoner's Rift had a million different brushes, and was covered in snow. Her splash art is even worse! the one thing I liked about Fiora (and I know this might sound dumb) was that in her splash art, she had one of her eyes covered from her hair. It might be a personal taste, but I feel some people look better with one eye covered based on what the rest of them looks like (hair length, clothes, etc.), and Fiora is one of those people. Don't get me wrong, unlike other people, I feel the new splash is salvageable, it'll just need some tweaks. I was looking on the boards, and found a conversation involving this picture: http://i.imgur.com/iIHXwK5.jpg I feel this would be a salvaged version of the new art, and a lot better at that.
Lastly: BOARDS
I feel that there is issues with Fiora's rework, and I understand the boards is the place for people to post their mind. What I did notice though is I haven't seen 1 good comment about her change, and I don't know if that's because it's really that bad, or if it's because fanboys like to flip shit at the drop of a hat. All I know is this change stirred up the community, and not in a good way. I'd suggest a change on the change before some good, loyal summoners leave the rift. Good job, and good luck riot.
