I always have to remind my jungler not to gank from the river sides of midlane and just go behind them right in front of their turret..then if it's someone such as 
I ask for a gank before she's level 6.
As a toplane main, I don't expect my junglers to acknowledge the existance of toplane. I am honestly surprised when I get a gank. The only time I'm hoping my jungler will help me out is when I need help taking Rift herald
A top laner needs to learn to be self sufficient. Ganks are nice, but not expected.
Edit: from your own jungler I mean. Always expect the enemy jungler to gank.

I love jungling, but it really gets on my nerves sometimes. Still getting better at it but the constant pinging by teammates is annoying as fuck.
Honestly if your a laner just stfu. If you getting stomped then you suck. Play passive or go afk and stop playing ranked. Don't tell me how to jungle if you don't know how to lane. I never ask for ganks when I am laning and although I might not always win my lane I keep lane froze and wait for my jungle to decide to come gank for me.
If you are complaining because your jungle has not ganked 1000 times every lane over & over again then your a moron and you deserve your shitty rank you damn scrub.

You need to get better my friend, complaining about people complaining isn't going to get you anywhere. If you're playing in gold 5 the game isn't decided by your top lane dying twice in 3 minutes.
