Braum Vs. Yasuo

This has always confounded me. Can anyone explain?

Why does Braum, a Support, has a shield that blocks only damage when Yasuo, an Assassin, has a shield that blocks CC and damage? I don't think Yasuo is OP nor Braum underpowered; I just don't understand :(

Yasuo is extremely poorly designed and no one actually thought out the implications of packing his kit to the gills.

Because Yasuo is poorly designed. The wind wall skill makes sense on a support like Braum, and also it has the balancing factor of only reducing damage to the first target hit (Braum) and applying CC. Braum came out not long after Yasuo, so one of two things happened during development of these 2 champs.

Possibility 1: Wind Wall was originally designed for Yasuo. Riot spent a lot of time coding the skill, and so wanted to shove it on another champion in order to justify the effort. Someone realised it made more sense as a support skill, and Braum was made.

Possibility 2: Wind Wall was originally designed for Braum, with that being his defining mechanic (taking bullets for allies). CertainlyT then was desperate to thing of even more things he could stick onto Yasuo's kit, and stole the Wind Wall idea.

I would argue that the wind wall mechanic is in itself in direct opposition to the foundations of the game (as it hard counters skill shots, which was one of the game's biggest selling points originally), but in Braum's case it feels like it makes sense, even if it is boring to play against.

I have been saying this for years.

First of all, Yasuo was not designed as an assassin. He's a melee adc like Tryndamere, Fiora, or Master Yi.

Second of all, Braum can move around his shield and IIRC it lasts longer. It also affects far more attacks, reducing the damage of everything but true damage, whereas plenty of attacks can get through Wind Wall. Oh, and the cooldown on Unbreakable is way shorter.

They are different champions, and both abilities have relative strengths and weaknesses. Even with Wind Wall Yasuo has less utility and durability than Braum.

"Because Yasuo is poorly designed." Braum is a tank support, Yasuo is a fighter/Assassin, however, outside of his passive which isn't always up, his W is his only defensive skill. He's a melee adc, so he does need to be able to get there, at least in my opinion x)

Maybe because they are completely different champions

Because stop whining about Yasuo already.

Do something else. I don't know. Maybe whine about a champion that can win lane for example?

its cause braum has the ability to move his shield around to have protect and block more stuff so im assuming in order to make yasuos wall not just a shitty version of braums they added the cc thing to compensate and make both walls equally unique in situations
