kha'zix needs help badly.

OK. our favorite cockroach is in a very tough situation here. Way back when he came out, he was one of the most mobile champs, with his e having gigantic range. his jungling was great because his q's isolation damage was off the charts. his sustain was good (not great) with his w. Obvious problems arose when he had too much burst with also having so much mobility. no one could compete with it. his isolation damage was tweaked (get this, towers used to NOT count. you could stand under tower and take the isolation damage). his ult used to give damage reduction, but this gave problems with his tower diving ability, and they didn't want a assassin to just walk into the tower, get a kill, walk out. this was seriously a thing he could do. didn't need his jump, just straight up walk in. the jump was saved for if things turned bad. this all went away as it was a toxic play pattern with little counter play. basically the idea behind changing kha'zix is to balance him into this thing that is kinda-tanky kinda-bursty kinda-mobile kinda-assassin. he doesn't have a lot that are his strengths. hes just a little good at everything, but everyone does something better than him.

his biggest strength right now is his counterjungling power. he can farm your jungle better than shaco, leaping in and out when he wants. you see a kha'zix on the enemy team say goodbye to krugs raptors wolves red buff blue buff scuttle crab and those little squirrel things. his problem is this. with the very heavy ganking that is going on right now, hes falling out of his power. part of his counter jungling is yes the taking of camps, but that's half of it. the other half is catching the enemy jungler alone and killing him. the problem is that he cant do this anymore. i honestly cant think of another assassin that CANT out burst him ( ). even the non assassins can out damage him ( ). the only champions i can say he reliably out damages are the supports. so obviously hes not good at killing assassins as he gets outbursted. he loses to fighters/tanks because they can survive his damage. he loses to mages that out range him. he loses to marksmen as he cant burst them fast enough. BUT he has the ability to kill these people. his isolation bonus is extremely powerful. his kit relies on catching lone champions and punishing them. the problem with this is that there is realistically (going off of higher levels of play, not bronze 28) only one that the opponent is going to play. the tanks can be alone, and the squishies stay in a group. you see the enemy has a khazix? adc stays with their tank support all game. if he COULD get the adc alone, he would have a field day with it (when came out i started playing kha again because an opposing bards playstyle being a good aid to kha's playstyle). but realistically this wont happen. his power comes from isolation in a team game. you're not using your skills, you're using your opponents mistakes (which is a skill yes, but you understand what i mean). he needs some major buffs in some areas. obviously dont do all of these, but he needs a few of these, your choice. 1 make his burst higher most assassins have their power come from long cooldowns for strong damage. kha'zix doesn't have too high of cooldowns, but the damage they do is too small. for a single target ability, his q's damage isn't high enough for its cooldown. 2 make him tankier are the two best champions i thnk of when i think of tanky assassins. they have about the same amount of damage/burst power (rengar being a bit more burst and lee doing a bit more sustained damage) as khazix, but they also have MUCH more damage taking power. lee is already tanky and his buildstyle lets him do this PLUS his e letting him run back if it turns bad. rengar is also tanky with his w and also has good escape power with passive being good if your creative enough. khazix has one escape and is normally used for the engage. his ult is decent for escaping but 1 second of invis 2 times (or 2 seconds 3 times) isn't too great. its really only good at deceiving your opponents. gives a decent movespeed buff but overall not great. 3 LOWER THE ISOLATION RANGE its in caps because this is crucial and is definitely my top pick. the range for isolation is huge. kha and his target can be quite a ways away from the rest of the team and still be considered not isolated. 4 change what is considered isolated recently got a buff to his passive that makes it so after level 11 minions/monsters dont stop his passive. this is a great idea for khazix. at some level (lets say 11) minions don't count as partners to protect you from isolation. jinx splitpushing with an army of minions? isolated. late game his power is a little under everyone elses, so the minions counting against isolation is VERY harmful to him. he can one shot these little pests but they are a threat to his q's damage? makes no sense thematically or gameplay wise. 5 increase his power vs monsters OR his early game power starting the engine on this jungler takes a while. even starting gromp, an isolated monster, takes a while. the other monster camps (besides crabs) are not isolated, so they take even longer to kill. his qs cd could even just be lowered at the earlier ranks. it takes forever to get that first roation in the jungle.

for a champion that was considered so unique for his role as a hunter of stray champions, he has fallen out of the game because everyone else does his job too, only better.
