QoL Change for Shaco (plus thoughts about clone behavior)

A friend of mine and I were chatting about Shaco and some interesting things came up in the convo.

The main thing we agreed upon had to do with his boxes. Regardless of what rank the boxes are, they die in one shot around mid-game all the way to late game and that gets rather annoying as it removes a major part of his kit when it can make or break a situation.

To remedy this, my friend came up with the idea of having Shaco boxes' HP scale with rank or some other method (kinda like donger turrets). This change would keep Shaco a bit more relevant in the late game by the utility alone.

Now this part is more of a brainstorming process that my friend and I were discussing. What if Shaco's clone could use all the abilities that Shaco himself could except his ult, but without any of the damage.

For example:

Q - Shaco and his clone would both disappear individually and appear individually after attacking something or running the duration. However, the clone wouldn't get the guaranteed crit buff. W - Shaco and his clone both drop their own boxes, however the clone's box would only fear for half the time that the real Shaco's box would, and do 0 damage. E - For the clone, the passive would not affect his autos, but rather when shiv is used the target is slowed by half of the real Shaco's shiv slow duration. (To deal with the targeting aspect of shiv, we thought that if the realShaco used shiv, the clone would automatically target the nearest enemy champion and throw it).

In my opinion, I don't believe the clone change would make Shaco OP. But rather make it more confusing to deal with him and give him a stronger late game, even if he's behind.

What do you guys think about both the box and clone ideas?
