Riot I genuinely appreciate that you guys are finally addressing Master Yi's problems but...

Can we not tack extra effects onto meditate and address his REAL problems? (with all the CC/CDR in this game you never manage a full channel in combat anyways) By "real problems" I mean:

- Highlander MS buff is too weak and its base duration before resets is too low. It used to be that you would pop the old 10 second Highlander, reliably chase your target down and have a few seconds of highlander left to fight with. Now with all the mobility creep in this game you spend most of highlander's duration purely chasing down the target (unless they facecheck you or an ally cc's them which is entirely out of your control) and if you don't kill them in a heartbeat your short 7 second ultimate runs out and you become much easier to deal with. If they're a squishy without much CC, they often outrun/kite your ulti duration. (Think Xayah, Katarina, 4th shot Jhin, Zoe, Vayne, any phase rush champ, Champs with multiple dashes etc.) if they have a lot of hard CC they can usually just wait out your ulti, and If they're tanky you usually cant kill them even if you had the full 7 seconds.

**- Too many external factors that the enemy controls can reduce/outright remove your ability to get resets. ** Does the enemy adc have a stopwatch/mage have a zhonyas? (they all do) If so, enjoy while you alpha strike onto them, and they immediately go golden while their team peels you off or usually just outright kills you while your highlander runs out. Does a fed enemy carry have a Guardian Angel? If so then you're put into a 'Catch-22' situation with no "right answer." Even IF you manage to get on top of them and proc it in a teamfight without immediately getting cc'ed you cant actually finish the job because in the 4 seconds it takes for them to revive + the time it took to kill them + the time it will take to kill them again you're either already dead because their team blew you up, or your highlander is down and you're now incredibly susceptible to being kited after their inevitable respawn. If you don't focus them then they'll blow you up in just a few autos. If you do, you cant get a reset on them because of Guardian Angel. It creates a lose lose situation. Does the enemy team have a lot of CC/Lockdown? Sweet, then after you dodge a spell with alpha strike, you IMMEDIATELY get CC chained until your ultimate runs out. Does the enemy have any heals/shields? Now your highlander runs out before you can put out the DPS required to kill them so you sit there and get kited to death. Does the enemy team have a Zilean? You will NEVER get a reset. Does the enemy team have a Kayle? You will NEVER get a reset. Does the enemy team have a Lulu? You will NEVER get a reset. Does the enemy team have a Shen? You will NEVER get a reset. Does the enemy team have a Janna? You will NEVER get a reset. Does the enemy team have an Ivern? You will NEVER get a reset. You also will almost never be able to get resets on Aatrox, Anivia, Akali. Zac, Tryndamere, Ekko, Dr.Mundo, Lissandra, Bard, Kalista's Oathsworn, Enemies under Taric ultimate. I haven't even accounted for all the ways you can get cc'ed to deny resets.(simply because there's too many but some notable ones are Malz Ult, Rammus Taunt, Fiddle Fear, and Lulu Polymorph for example.) Being able to deny a champion from killing your allies is naturally a necessary part of counterplay but it's far too easy to bait out highlander and deny a reset.

The meditate "buffs" are moreso a nerf to his teamfight sustain that is a "fix" to a problem he didnt have (sustain isnt the issue, Highlander's nerfs were) and choosing to buff it, instead of other problem areas of his kit like his long ulti cooldown given his absolute need for it if he doesnt want to be useless, or its lack of impact with its relatively weak movespeed buff and duration. The problem has never been "I dont sustain enough" the problem has ALWAYS been "I cant stay on my target long enough to get my resets."

So what would MY solution be? Keep meditate the same as it is now. Just make some changes to Highlander: (R) Highlander: Cooldown: 85 >>> 75 Duration: 7 >>> 10 Movement speed: 25% / 35% / 45% >>> 35% / 45% / 55% Passive: Champion takedowns reduce the current cooldown of Master Yi's basic abilities by 70%. >>> Reducing a champion's health to 0 or earning champion takedowns reduce the current cooldown of Master Yi's basic abilities by 70%.

While active, champion takedowns extend the duration of Highlander by 7 seconds >>> While active, Reducing an enemy champion's health to 0 or earning champion takedowns extend the duration of Highlander by 4 seconds

This proposed change is basically a revert to old highlander while increasing its movespeed buff to keep up with current mobility creep and adding a quality of life change to his ulti reset passive. Being able to simply buy a Guardian angel or have a Zilean ultimate for example will not outright deny the entire reset mechanic of his kit without adding any direct power to the passive but still making him feel a lot better and removing fringe cases where the player is penalized for being in a lose-lose situation despite playing well.

400K Mastery MasterYi main here so while I'm no league balance guru, I have more than enough experience to shed some light on the topic. Some rioter response would be greatly appreciated!
