I love Zed, but he is always banned.

Hello, I've always been a fan of Zed just because he is so fun and I really enjoy always learning new tricks with him and his shadows. The problem is he is always banned. I'm basically making this as a way to say he does need to be nerfed. He takes a lot of skill which people seem to not realize, and even though I main him he still should be nerfed. What's the point in playing the game when the only champ you like is banned almost all the time. I personally think making him a mana instead of energy champ would make him balanced, but nerfing his ultimate or duskblade would always help. Also, I don't understand why people ban him in the first place. I realize his laning is insanely strong, but to counter him you really just have to stay grouped and make sure he doesn't snowball. Plus lots of Zed players are actually really bad at the champ. I don't really know what I'm talking about now I was just wondering what you guys think about Zed and his banrate.
