Symptomatic Fixes - A Retracing of Steps

It has occured to me that, logically, all problems that currently exist in the game should be able to be traced back to a singular change or mechanic. The game was not so wildly imbalanced even a couple of years ago. Considering the fact that RIOT has a tendency towards fixing symptoms, not root causes, and thus letting problems slowly grow out of proportion...

I wonder, where do you guys think this all started? I have my theories, but hey.

You're very first sentence, and thesis for your entire post is flawed and incorrect.

Anything as big as LoL, with all its moving parts, can never be narrowed down to one singular change being the root of anything, as a whole.

Everything, outside of the simplest of equations, is much more complex and nuanced. A number of little events adding up and pushing towards an outcome, usually unsen or felt until well after it already happened. But even in the most visible cases where major conflict arises, it is that series of little events pushing toward an outcome with conflict arising from a catalyst event that that pushes too far too fast.

Ever studied cosmology? Far more vast systems have been narrowed down to singularity.

Everyone is constantly talking about Seasons 4-6. Therefore, something between then and now has gone terribly wrong. Every problem starts somewhere.
