Maybe this could help Shaco feel less unfair to play against

So i was reading a thread on the LoL Reddit about how Shaco hasn't gotten a skin and how he's basically a nightmare to design balance wise. One thing the people said that stood out to me was what made Rengar and Eve less frustrating to play against, so i propose a sound queue that plays whenever Shaco Qs near an enemy. It could be his laugh (the thought of my enemies hearing my clown laugh before i kill them breathes life into my psychotic tendencies) and you could also give back some of his early game now since it won't be as cheap of a gank. Also keep in mind im D2 Shaco main, i want this champion to get love but also recognize how it is frustrating to deal with.

Even so, he'd still need strength taken away from the fact he has a pet to block damage for him, which also deals damage and looks no different from the original.

Maybe if the clone actually looked different and allowed people a chance to use targeted abilities, they could give a lot more strength to his damage numbers. But a body-blocking double that deals its own damage while alive, then damages and fears on death, on top of a blink that is also a cloak so there are no ways to counter it really doesn't give them room to adjust anything.

Make his clone look different, or make it deal no damage but still be possible to target because it's an illusion, and they could put a lot more strength into his basic abilities.

His ultimate isn't what makes him an issue, its his ability to gank and snowball a lead.

Not exactly. Many champions can do that. But they don't have a cloak that also blinks to counter anything that could reveal his location, nor do they have a body double. So his ability to snowball is linked to the fact that, through no mechanical skill, you have tools that the enemy simply can't counter-- meaning they can't stop you from snowballing.

Proper warding easily shuts shaco down, he isn't like old Eve especially with lower stealth duration. The issue is lower elo players aren't good enough to know when and how to ward so he ends up stomping lower elo while remaining decent or bad in high elo except for now that they just made him a hyper scaling late game champion.

I think a laugh would be appropriate. Make it not come from where he is tho so players dont know where he is coming from but gives them a warning. The little "poof" they have with him now is just stupid and can be hidden VERY easily or missed.

ALL Stealth needs to have a sound effect with it unless its like Kaisa or Vayne or Akali
