A game where your team ffs a losing game successfully at 15 mins feels better than winning.
change my mind.
please just let me leave games.

I know I'd be a lot less hostile toward people if they didn't keep me hostage in unwinnable games.
Worst part is when you are 17/3 with 10 cs per minute and everyone else is 2/11 behind at least 60 cs and they expect you to carry 1v5. Like wtf do people expect you to be superhuman?
I'd be even less hostile (and I'm already Honor 5, never punished, etc. etc., so not very hostile currently either...) if people didn't give up when a game is still mostly undecided.
surrendering games if you're doing bad early.... I see this all the time its bad for your MMR. my friend loses 6 times my LP per loss and does this. it is good if you're not doing bad yourself.
You know what I've had recently that pisses me off? Where a vote goes 3/1 to surrender and that doesn't count as a majority.
If you don't vote in a surrender vote it shouldn't count as anything, that's not how votes work. 3/1 is a majority and the game should forfeit.
I know right? Imagine if laws were passed based on unanimous decisions. We'd never get anything done

Despite my general disagreement with making surrender vote easier, THAT specific point is something I can get behind.

yeah but people drag surrender votes off screen. then in theory they could surrender on 3-1 and they wouldnt even know the vote took place. People who usually drag votes off screen always vote no.
I would rather prefer that the game wasn't so snowbally.
I often know the game is lost at minute 5 but I'm forced to play another 20 minutes in a total waste of my time. It's bad game design, honestly.
> 2/22 game > Starts early surrender vote > Teammate accidentally manages a kill before surrender finishes > Clicks no > "It's ok I can carry."
Why change your mind when you are correct. Feels especially frustrating when its a 4/1 vote and the nay says "i never FF". I feel like shaking them and tell them " why are you such a moron??"

Even worse is usually the 1 is either the main cause of the problem or a toxic player no one wants to play with and is keeping the game hostage for the extra duration
Why are people so obsessed with surrendering nowadays XD
Enjoy playing the game at least! Or don't play.
It’s hard to enjoy the game when your bot lane goes 1/20 then claims “we got ganked early” like that explains their 18 other deaths.
True, but would you really enjoy FFing at 15 min b/c of that more than winning a game where you played well?
Yes. Because I can then escape a blatantly irritating experience and possibly go on to have a better one next game. Comebacks aren't worth the effort anymore. They're not enjoyable, and the chances of success is almost always zero. So why waste the effort, time or patience on such a pointless task?
If it isn't causing a release of dopamine. I feel absolutely nothing and get bored. That is comebacks seasons 6-8
Idk man, often when I'm losing I feel like an insane desire to win the game, irrational almost. But that makes a comeback win feel amazing whereas losing either by ff or by enemy taking nexus feels awful either way and really angers me (not in a toxic way).
Yes getting instakilled right after getting out of base because the enemies are fed af is very enjoyable
I still dont get it why is 4/1 isnt enough fo ff at 15 i mean like seriusly.
I won't be able to change your mind no matter what. You already got to a conclusion here.
There are next to no "unwinnable games". Unwinnable to most people (especially in low elo) just means that you or one of your teammates fed so hard that coming back into the game before the enemy opens up the base is extremely unlikely.
Yes, there are those games where your team collectively fed 20 kills in 10 minutes and lost all outer and inner turrets. FF@15 in those games is fair.
And then there are those games where your botlane/midlane/toplane/jungler fed the enemy so hard that it set you behind by an insane amount of gold. I won't surrender those. I'm not giving the idiot that doesn't understand the basic concept of playing safe and not feeding a Get-out-of-Jail-free card just so he can go back into doing the same tilted bullshit to another set of players.
Maybe. But when you team is totally out of sync and the enemy team isnt, you should surrender.
There are games you should surrender, there are games you shouldnt. But when you think you can win a 4 v 5 because Mid lane had lag and had to leave, you are stupid and you are holding people hostage for no goddamn reason.
I hate the never surrender attitude. Its worst than the FF@15 attitude.

Comebacks are quite rare, and they become more rare the larger the gold lead. This is part of the snowball game design.

No, you're just punishing three other people in your vendetta against one.
I will leave games like the one you describe and not even look back, leaverbuster be damned.
I dont think you have been paying attention this season then. There was even an LCS game that crashed where one team's
Jg was so far ahead that Riot just gave them the win because they said there was no way the enemy team could come back at that point.
I learned my mistake from leaving those game. Now ill just INT.
I disagree with you. The best feeling is when you win a game that you thought you were gonna lose. Comeback is real.
not in this stupid meta
not in this stupid meta
yes in this stupid meta. Had it happen to me. Not saying surrender should be removed or that it is common, but comeback is real, and it feels great.
cause clearly there's a difference of what you see in low, mid and high elo
cause clearly there's a difference of what you see in low, mid and high elo
And your point is? OR are you saying that because comeback is impossible for one elo, it is impossible for all?
my point? there's no comeback in high elo or it's very rare because they aren't headless chickens running around
You guys, why do you even play this video game at this point... Play something that allows you to stop whenever you want if you get to a point where you don't even want to play after searching for a match you know will last 20 to 40 minutes...
Only cowards surrender.
It wouldn't be so bad if half of you kids weren't ride or die trying to win or lose in 15 minutes. That is what gets really annoying. Force me to determine whether a game is worth playing 15 minutes in because you simply can't play any other way. Get these kids out of ranked.
As the player on the other team, I love it when enemies ff early. It prevents my team from throwing
[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
I find that my attitude when losing in League goes into the gutter, because the whole game is designed around massive statistical disparities between ahead and behind players. Being behind or losing the match just means you'll get shat on the moment anybody sees you, and it feels bad to play like that when you can't contribute or DO anything since you just get deleted.
play singleplayer
People like you are destroying the game. Stop surrendering, you are wasting opportunities because you are frustrated, and when I say I dont surrender, accept that even if you dont like it, I dont see how arguing and whining all game about 'being held hostage' does actually anything, it just makes it seem like you want to be angry.
and people like you are fucking idiotic thinking you can with a person down 20 deaths
even if a game is unwinnable you still play to the end. that is what League, and every other game in existence, is meant for. to be played for fun and be enjoyed with friends. if you want to be a true competitive player then do not surrender. you don't see people in Worlds trying to surrender do ya? of course not. why would they? no one in any tournament has ever surrendered when a game was going bad. they just played to the end. so take the stick out of your ass and learn to actually enjoy a game, win or lose. and if you really really want to leave a game cause someone is feeding their ass off just use the exit button. no one is forcing you to play so you should not force others to leave the game when only you are tilted.
no... that's unproductive especially in ranked.
Any reason why you can't just ward your jungle, play around the enemy team, farm up, turtle, and stall out the game?
ha? what are you playing? season 6?
Full disclosure, I'm against surrendering regardless... but despite that...
If you LEGITIMATELY prefer 'leaving a bad game' to the games you win... then you do NOT ACTUALLY LIKE THE GAME. And you should [probably find a new game to play.\
I am not saying that you should WANT to play out bad games... that's a personal decision we each have to make. But if you prefer successfully surrendering a lost game to essentially everything else in the game(since winning is kind of the ultimate pinnacle in most peoples' eyes) then you don't enjoy anything in this game except NOT HAVING TO PLAY THE GAME. That is not a sign of someone who likes the game, at all.

I rarely advocate for people to outright stop playing a game. Maybe a break.
But, in this instance..if surrendering a match and leaving really does feel better to people than winning the match, perhaps that particular game is not for them. Once you stop having fun when actually playing a game, it sounds like time to try something else.
I find myself playing 3v3 and the downside is getting bots.
However; even getting two bots I can 1v3 actual players at times so this is fine. What IS NOT FINE is playing 5v5, seeing the score board be 3-22 or something in the enemy favor, and then being required to sit there while people just die repeatedly.
I can't practice like that, it's not fun, and I can't see how dying that much is fun for them either. You spend more time dead than alive and prove to everyone you have no idea how to lane when you die once.
I'm not on board about just leaving games, but there's been a massive increase of insanely shitty players recently everywhere. not sure what it is, i typically see it around summer when the kids are out
tfw you come to be entertained but you are the entertainment
I'm okay with forfeiting essentially impossible situations, but I fucking hate when people give up as the only person when they're behind. Automatically putting up or suggesting to put up the white flag without even communicating with your team is a damn pittance. So many people give up when they're down a few deaths and NEVER have the gall or instinct to play from behind unless forced to.
"Like oh my god, I'm not going to carry this game by myself! Lemme give up because these guys on my team aren't shit!" No etiquette, no decency, no honor, no fucking shame.
