So how is it ok for one of the tankiest champs in the game Cho to do almost 2000 dmg with a clickon?

InfinitexMortal··5 votes·520 views

Like seriously he can just walk threw the entire team at 200 miles per hour and click on you with his ulti and you are dead 100% to 0 hp..... you cant outrun him since he is retardedly fast so kiting him is bs if he wants you he has you. Oh yeah and lord domnic's/ turrets dont do sht to him either but he can click on you with full hp and you are oneshotted... cool riot...

Ban Cho'Gath then?

The Bearded Bard2 votes

Emphasis on 'walk'. He has no gap closers, and only skill shots to cc you. He is incredibly easy to kite.

cho dont do 1500 true damage

he typically dont do 1000+ true damage.

the scaling on his ult is 300 / 475 / 650 (+ 50% AP) (+ 10% bonus health) so lets say he has no AP

he would have to have be max rank in ult so lvl 16 and have 3500 bonus hp to do 1000 true damage from his ult.

and his base hp at lvl 16 is 1733 so to have 3500 bonus hp he would have to have total of 5233 hp

so for him to do 1000 true damage ... he would have to have 5233 total hp and be max rank in ult.

also if you look at his damage break down on average per game ( this is for plat + by the way)

Average Cho'Gath Game Stats

Physical Damage: 2243 (16.18%) Magic Damage: 7586 (54.72%) True Damage: 4032 (29.09%) Total Damage Dealt: 13863

you see over 50% of his damage is magic damage not true damage

That so? I've had a full tank Cho'gath do 1200 dmg to me on a mage.

1200 dmg, out of my 1700 dmg. Next to no bonus AP on him. That is absolutely fucking insane, and needs to be nerfed, flat out.

jwebb01131 votes

why did you get in melee range of him?

his ult is melee range

and dont nearly all mages have some form of cc ?

and never less if you look at the damage break down for an average cho ( that was taken from plat + btw) majority of his damage is magic damage. not true damage. and well if you are facing a champ with true damage you get more HP cuz nothing else saves you from it. so instead of having 1700 hp vs a champ that does true damage maybe you should of had 2200 hp or whatever

You're right, cus no one ever gets in range of melees ever in league of legends, just doesn't happen.

No one ever gets ganked, or hit by enemy teammate cc, so the cho can get close and ult. no one ever teamfights where deaths happen to melee champs. no one ever dives, much less fed tanks with stupid amounts of hp who can tank a turret for 3 hours.

And cho'gaths themselves certainly do not ever use their own knockup Q and silence (so you can't use said cc/escapes, or even flash away).

As for building hp, this was 1700 dmg with Liandries.

As for his own hp, 3500 bonus hp is actually extremely easy for him to achieve. Likewise, his dmg amounts don't matter for shit. He still has an easily achievable 1k+ true dmg ult. What does it even slightly matter which type of dmg he does the most of?

Sorry to be the one to break this to you, but Cho needs a fucking nerf.

jwebb01131 votes

so he needs a nerf cuz we as players are imperfect ?

ok

ok

oh you're right, that's the only thing that ever determines what goes into balance in this game ever. no champ's kits are ever considered for nerfs or buffs, whatsoever.

i forgot, my apologies.

jwebb01131 votes

but once again his ult dont account for majority of his damage. his ult only accounts for 29% of his damage.

and just like most champs who are immobile and skill shot cc abilities are subjected to being kited and cc/peel

his over all win rate for plat plus on this patch is

Cho'Gath has a win rate 50.47% for Platinum+ players.

he is a strong champ but not broken and has weakness and can be beaten

and as of this patch his damage break down per game is changed Physical Damage: 2634 (16.76%) Magic Damage: 9560 (60.83%) True Damage: 3520 (22.40%) Total Damage Dealt: 15715

he on average only deals 15k in damage that is fairly low and his ult/true damage is down to 22% of his over all damage out put while magic damage is 60%

ok

you made a statement about "why was i in melee range" as if that absolutely never happens in league of legends.

tell me, if no one EVER gets in melee range, ever. why do melee champions exist? much less, why do they even do well? They certainly never kill anyone in any game i've ever seen (except this one where cho ulted me, my own astronomically huge mistake), they never even cs cus you know... being ranged they can't get in ranged of anything without being perma CC'd by a mage spamming one ability with 0 cooldown. in fact, melee are pretty much just minions that die and add nothing to the game, cus they cant ever get close to anyone ever.

am i getting through to you yet, or do i actually need to be even more sarcastic?

jwebb01131 votes

i get it you dont like cho

but he isnt as broke as you wanna make him out to be

and if you are a mage you are ranged .. .you have flash just the same he does if not cc as well and once again for him to proc that much true damage it has to be a perfect situation of having alot of hp already ... being late game... being near 3 enemies to get the 100% bonus hp active on stone plate and having his R and stone plate active available all at the same time

InfinitexMortal1 votes

Honestly he has far far far more mobility than any of you try to make it out to be. "hes slow just kite" when infact he is not slow and is 3 to 4 times faster than you with all his items. You could honestly use ghost to try and run from him and he would still catch you

jwebb01131 votes

and that 1200 damage he did was that all ult or was that combined with his Q and silence ?

USG Obama2 votes

Umm, 1200 dmg from ult alone bud.. why would I even bother to post if it wasn't?...

jwebb01131 votes

so lets do the math assuming he had zero AP and was lvl 16 max rank

650 base damage + 10% bonus hp 1200-650 = 550

meaning he got 550 damage from bonus HP so he had to have 5500 bonus hp

5500/10 and knowing he had a base hp at lvl 16 of 1733 that means his total hp at the time he ulted you had to be 7783

and you thought its ok to be in melee range

and have to had gargoyle stone plate active while the passive of being near 3 or more enemies ...

so he is near at least you and two of your allies and no one knows how to peel, knock back, cc , slow, silence, exhaust, etc him before he ults

Somebody Love Me2 votes

Kinda hard to not be in melee range when he has item 3800 and summoner 4, plus ranged CC in his Q, and his E slows you, to make landing Q easier.

jwebb01131 votes

flash has a 5 min cd

rg has a 90 sec cd

so if those are both up... and he has item 3193 up as well he has to use all 3 while being near 3 enemies to proc the 100% bonus hp of item 3193 on his ult

and if people were more aware and knew when he used what items at what time and when he last used flash maybe you position better

Let's lecture KT Pawn about this.

Anyways what makes Cho'gath so strong isn't just his ultimate, it's the fact that he gets ridiculously tanky, scales off max health and then essentially becomes an impassable wall that threatens to murder you should you even attempt to get close.

jwebb01131 votes

yet what is the counter to true damage?

ITS HEALTH

and i have stated over and over again that only 20% of his damage comes from true damage.

and if you watched the play in game of c9 vs that latin american team ... cho got shut down really hard in that game and champs with % hp damage and building bork who can kite and cc him hurt him. which varus did the entire game. and oh maokai kept him in check too

but just like every thing in this game people are bias and complain about every aspect of it. he is fairly balanced considering his win rate right at 50% in plat + which includes all servers

its ok continue to down vote cuz it dont mean shit. and for him to do 1000+ true damage on his ult i already explained how much HP he has to have to do that. which now the change to how stoneplate interacts with his ult its harder for him to do that kind of damage.

InfinitexMortal1 votes

Dude your logic means nothing. The video shows it all. And when the fck do you see a carry go full health build to survive chogoth thats just stupid

This guy forgot Stoneplate and Righteous Glory exist.

jwebb01131 votes

even with stoneplate giving the 100% bonus hp its not common for 3500 bonus hp and stoneplate dont give hp in general, it only gives bonus hp when activated. and that has a cd, so does righteous glory and his ult

FatedSaviour1 votes

stoneplate also reduces damage dealt so overall will only increase his ult damage by like 20% overall ( i think i calculated that right )

InfinitexMortal1 votes

Stoneplate doesnt dmg reduce on his ulti

FatedSaviour1 votes

i thought stoneplate reduces dmg dealt by 40%, or does that not affect true dmg

Variks the Loyal1 votes

Because it's an extremely short range skill, Cho'Gath is really slow, and can be kited to hell.
