Marksmen are not only ADC's anymore with Ziggs (And hopefully others in the future) So when making posts about Marksmen don't refer to them as ADC's
It's like squares and rectangles ADC's are squares and Marksmen are rectangles All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares (I've seen a lot of posts about marksmen balance talking about them as ADC's)

Marksmen is a champion archetype. ADC refers to a particular type of power curve with respect to AD itemization and includes stuff like Yi.

Marksmen is just the new term for adc, it still reffers to a class rather than a position. Ziggs is neither an adc, nor an marksmen. He's a siege mage, thats his class.
The position could be called 'duolane-carry' or 'duolane-farmer'. I say duolane rather than botlane because moveing your duolane mid or top was an option in the past and might become an option again if riot desides their changes to fortification and co weren't that great.
dim2a1 votesADC stands for Attack Damage Carry, because they build attack damage, and carry late game. Are you proposing ziggs build attack damage? Or that we call him ADC despite him usually not building any at all? I'd refer to Ziggs as botlane APC (stands for Ability Power Carry)... then again you might confuse that with Tahm Kench being an APC (Armored Personnel Carrier)... :P

I think that would only make it MORE confusing, given what ADC stands for. When I was new and asked "what is ADC", answer was "attack damage carry". What you're proposing that we answer "attack damage carry, except sometimes they don't get any attack damage, but we still call them ADCs because reasons?". Long term it's better if acronym does not refer to something that is pretty much direct opposite of it, or there will be no end to confusion.
Sukishoo1 votesEh, it's kind of what they do in other games; such as SMITE because in that games setup Magical Gods can only build Magical Damage items (aka AP), and Physical gods can only build Physical Damage items (aka AD). Thus, there's are Gods that go ADC in that game who are Magical and gods that go ADC who are Physical.
