@Riot, after the ADC update, could we look into updating the supports ?

So, we all know that you are looking into updating the ADCs, and I am quite glad for that. However, I think that their bot lane companions need help as well. It kinda boring seeing Thresh, Blitz, Alistar and Braum in every single bot lane(With the occasional Janna and Leona). I read somewhere that you are planning on make the sightstone more interesting to buy and I am really glad for that, but another support item that I think needs help is FQC. I find it's active kinda meh compared to the other 2 (One give a teammate a shield, the other a team movespeed boost, and the other I can trow a snowball, how nice) and most poke oriented supports sell this late game for Talisman , or another item entirely. Also quite a few support need love taps (Zyra, Zilean etc) and Sona/Nami kinda suffer the same fate as Graves/Lucian(overlapping kits).

I think that the supports in general are a lot more diverse than the ADCs. Not necessarily in terms of what gets PLAYED (that's a balance thing, not a rework thing), but mechanically. The core ADC mechanic, for every ADC, is right-clicking; there are only so many ways to autoattack.

For example, let's look at some kits. Caitlyn Poke, utility, escape, execute Ezreal Poke, poke, escape, execute Jinx Poke, poke, utility, execute MissFortune Poke, utility, utility, execute Quinn Poke, utility, escape, execute Tristana Utility, escape, utility, execute/escape

In contrast, most supports have some form of unique utility, something that no other support can do. Soraka, Annie, Leona, and Braum all have completely different approaches to the support role.

Most of the more recent ADC releases/reworks have focused on different ways to autoattack; Tristana's Explosive Charge, Draven's Spinning Axes, Kalista's Martial Poise, and Jinx's Switcheroo! are all good examples. I think the idea behind the reworks is to give the more overlappy ADCs something to differentiate themselves, and I don't think that supports have that problem.

Assassins should be next, by far the most nerfed role in season 5 and a under powered role currently (Fully expecting tons of down votes for stating the truth).

Even though Adcs do need the attention they will be receiving, the outcome of most games is still decided in the bottom lane.

Supports have it so well now in comparison to what it used to be. I am not saying some supports do not need buffed (they do), but there are a few supports that are presently in need of nerfs also. Personally I find the support role to be the most fun it has ever been, with some mid lane champions being able to be played and it not be considered trolling. If my lol king of my adc does not produce a favorable match history for that role, I play carry oriented supports and if the adc is competent I play a traditional support.

I have played ever since Poppy's release, I know exactly how supporting used to be. What I am saying is that while yes it's true that supporting is at it's best, it's still dull and a non attractive role, most of the time. But yeah, other then that I do agree with you, and yes, some supports do need nerfs and when the support update comes, I hope that they get their fair share of nerfs.

I doubt they will receive real nerfs, riot always seems intent on balancing supports around what they wish to see in the lcs with little regard to solo q.

Uh what are you talking about? The only Supports I ever see played are Thresh, Nautilus, and Morgana.

But yeah I think a lot of Supports need to be buffed or changed and even totally reworked. If not, Support itemization is terrible. Still don't know why people pick item 3092 over item 3069 there's not really a single reason to, and almost every Support buy the same exact things.

item 3069 item 1328 item 2049 item 3190 item 3050 item 3110 feels like the only builds I ever see anymore. (Or twitch Talisman with Face). Builds only support utility and tankiness, while poke and sustain supports are kind of in an awkward spot of having to build tanky. Supports like Sona require a ton of AP and while she does well with it, she should be building other items and not forced to buy AP to be relevant, and Supports like Soraka do well without any items but when it comes to itemization she builds tanky.

we will upodate adc's then they will need to update the fighters then they will need to update supports then they will update tanks again then they will update mages

maybe instead of making a list of things they need to fix ... lets just agree that whatever rito's do makes the game slightly worse than it was

if we compile a list of things to fix ... we will list every part of this game probably
